Your solution is in "The Abs Diet" by David Zinczenko. It is a very easy to read book that includes a 6 week plan. I have a one year old and I have gone from a size 12 to a size 8 in about three weeks. The best part is most of what you loose is from your tummy. Give it a try! This book is guaranteed to keep you lean for life. :)

As Madison pointed out- to loose fat from the mid section the only thing that will work is diet and exercise. You should exercise to tone, strengthen and sculpt the tummy area (I found pilates to be the most effective), but you will NOT notice the results until the excess fat is reduced. (That is requires at least 30-60 minutes of moderate to high intensity cardio most-to-every day of the week). [Forget what you heard about exercising at low intensity to burn fat- it is a misperception of some basic physiologic properties.]
That being said- having SEVEN children is very demanding on a women's body, and your husband may be right. If that is the case (and it is simply excess skin), then the only fix would be plastic surgery. Since your littlest is still so young- I would certainly wait it out and see how your body recovers. You may be amazed, though it could take a while. If after a year or two you see no improvement (and you are finished having children), then surgery could be an option. I would certainly use it as a last resort, however.
In the meantime, try to be active, eat healthy, perhaps try pilates in addition to your cardio, and enjoy all those children of yours!

The only thing that worked for me was changing my diet. Trust me - I spent a lot of money trying all kinds of supplements, tons of exercise and lots of gimmicks!
Stick with the selective carb approach. Only eat the good carbs and lean protein. NO SUGAR, NO FLOUR, NO POP (lots of water), and you'll lose it fast. It's basically a lot of veggies, fruits and lean proteins. Just think meat & veggies for every meal. Go through all your cookbooks and see which recipes you could use and make yourself a cookbook. I lost my "tire" around my midsection 2 years ago following the change in foods, and it has stayed trim. I was strict for about 3 months and then introduced some bad stuff back in.

Hi, I also had a child and my stomache "stretched".... However, as a word of advice try the Sauna belt. My stomache is ALMOST back to normal, but for the best results I wear it when I work and exercise. I work in the hospital so I have to walk alot and the heat from the belt makes my stomache sweat; in addition, it also soaks the sweat into the belt so I am not soaking wet! I love it... I have only been using it a few months and at a recent check-up, I found out I lost 7 pounds...

Abs

Hi, I was wondering is it possible to get a flatter tummy, around my tummy is 33inch, I workout at least 5 days a week, and I watch what I eat, but I do have 7 kids the oldest being 9 and the youngest being 4 months, I just really need some help to shrink my tummy, so any good advice is welcomed. Also my huband says that it is stretched skin, is that possible and if so what can I do to fix it, please help!
