In high school, I used to pack individual containers of yogurt and a bottle of water. While it wasn't always the most filling "meal", using a few of the other ideas to round out your lunch would probably work pretty well. Good luck!

I like the idea of preparing the veggies on Sundays! It makes it so much easier during a busy week to have them ready when needed for snacks or recipes!

Someone mentioned roll ups. You can use whole grain flat breads or tortillas and spread them with lots of veggies along with lean meats and low fat cheeses.
Concentrate on healthy eating, add exercise, reduce your consumption of sodas or other sugared drinks, and you'll lose weight without huge sacrifices in the foods you eat.
You're young and learning to eat in a healthy way now will give you benefits your entire life.
Good luck!

I bought an apple slicer at the dollar store- what a treat to have sliced apples to snack on! be sure to squirt a little lemon on it so it doesn't turn brown- I get those plastic lemons
I also count & measure "serving sizes" into ziploc bags for healthy snacks like pretzels or cereal- economical & can stay in your book bag for weeks!
I also prepare veggies in slices on sunday evening and pack sandwich bags daily w an assortment of different veggies and a little container (1 or 2 oz size) low cal ranch or hummus to dip- nice to share w friends too.

Hey there. I am also on a 'lifestyle change' (we don't say diet) and for lunch i usually have a big salad with one of those salad spritzer dressing and i get the 45 calorie a slice bread and have 2 slices of bread and some thinly sliced deli meat with mustard and sometimes cheese. You could also throw in some type of fiber bar or dried fruitor chopped veggies instead of the salad. It's an easy and healthy way to have a 200-300 calorie meal with lots of fiber to fill you up. Dont forget the water .

Do you have access to a microwave or anything at school if yes your options are pretty big but if no you still have some great options out there. Salads are great ideas made the night before and stuck in your bag with your choice of a lower fat dressing(kept in a separate container until time to eat) Pita pockets come in whole grain now and can be stuffed with a variety of good nutritious foods. Turkey sandwich with apple slices and peanut butter. Yogurt with an orange and some pretzels. Your options are pretty limitless. If you have access to heat up food then any frozen entree like healthy choice, smart ones etc.. that are between 200-300 calories with a side of fruit make good meals too. Hope this helps and good luck!

I always love to take a PB & J (you can get both in sugar free) and an apple with string cheese . Frozen dinners are easy. Tortillas with deli meat and lettuce rolled up.
