Mod-Jane, Thanks for that tip,I knew about the water but didn't know to put the water in first,then the egg:). I also didn't know about them being heavy. If mine floated I would break them one by one in s seperate dish to see if they were spoiled and if not then I used it to bake with, but only when thats all the eggs that I have! When you break an egg thats spoiled or bad, there's NO dought about it!!!:O annaskf

Hi, Dave and welcome to the Kraftfoods community. Here is a link to an article about how to determine the freshness of your eggs. We have a family flock of chickens and we use this method to test any eggs that are the tiniest bit suspicious.
