Just defrost them in a microwave before you coat them then use the box directions for cooking.

I've never cooked frozen anything other than veggies, meats need to be thawed in order for one to properly season and prepare. As far as Whole chickens they package them now where you can get one without the giblets etc.. also they come already cut up, depending on how you plan to prepare the bird... But with any meat it should be thawed prior to cooking.

I'm afraid to touch frozen food too much. I prefer fresh chicken. I fear that I will get frostbite and that will lead to an amputation

The only time I've heard of cooking frozen chicken was in an "ethnic" restaurant. It was a buffet with all different kinds of cuisine. The owner said that he used frozen chicken in his seal flipper soup.

I don't like buying whole chickens. I don't want to clean the insides because there's always something that looks like a twisted intestine inside chickens. Yuk! I do like bone-in breasts, tho. You cannot re-freeze bone-in chicken because the bones will turn blackish and the flavor of the meat will be affected.

Whenever I buy chicken, I repackage into individual pieces before freezing. Today Super Fresh had bone-in chicken breasts... BIG ones... for $.99 a lb. Cooked one and froze the rest. If you take a single, rock solid, frozen chicken breast and put it in tepid-cool water for about a half hour, it'll be pretty much defrosted.

Don't cook frozen chicken. It'll be terrible. Thaw it and then coat it with the Shake and Bake. Or better yet, make up your own seasoned flour to use.

Frozen chicken?

Hi. I want to cook frozen chicken breasts with Shake 'n Bake coating. The box gives directions for bone-in and boneless, but does not specify cook time for frozen or thawed. Should I just go by the times given on the frozen chicken?
