Chuck I agree with you!! I stay away from finger foods platters at any party because they are mostly fried and loaded with tons of calories. If there's fruit and veggies I will load up on them. That's how I maintain my Twiggy figure. (LOL)

Hi Chuck, You should always refrigerate or freeze prepared food and leftovers within 2 hours. Do not leave them sitting out at room temperature. Leftovers will keep in the refrigerator 3 to 4 days. Here is a link to an article on leftovers that I think you will find helpful.
Leftovers 101: http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/HealthyLiving/Articles/FoodSafety/Leftovers101.aspx
Good luck!

The first thing's that cross my mind when I hear a few platters of finger food help get the party started, and as yummy as they are, those appetizers can be hazardous to a healthy eating plan.of say no more then 1,800 cal's a day. When one munches out this way, they go from a Twiggy fugure to a Oprah figure in a short time, and then up to the size of the GOODYEAR blimp. Ya think?.

When I see the words, "affordable make-ahead dishes", take control of your time and money, the FIRST THING that comes into my mind, is how long will they keep in the fridge, before they spoil, not in the freezer, because that would take to long to defrost, if the temp's are set in the fridge say at around 35 degrees, and nukeing it in the micro wave is not my cup of tea either to reheat it. No one seems to want to talk about that. Just "GIT-R-DONE!" fast and in bulk. I, for one, don't want to catch food poisoning. Now, that would be a great question for Michele McAdoo at Kraft Kitchens, to also answer. Am I not right?. Ya think?.
