annaskf covered the general rules, and always make sure to use a cooking thermometer to make sure you get it to the right temp; 160 degrees.

Hi okiejbell1, My rule has always been to bake it at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour per pound.I bake it with the fat side up and I wrap it in foil to keep it from drying out and we like ours done enough to almost fall of the bone. What I usually bake is "fresh picnic hams" and thats how I always bake them. Then if you want it browned on top, just remove the foil the last 1/2 hour. annaskf

Help............I have 23 LB FRESH ham and can not find anything about cooking it. Everything I find is about smoked ham ranging in size from 1 to 8 pounds. I need HELP........PLEASE.
