Hi lacemaker1,
I'm sorry you had difficulty with this recipe. You weren't alone. Several community members experienced similar issues. The recipe has been re-tested and based upon our results, we added another egg to soften the dough and make it easier to blend together. The recipe is being revised and will be updated on the website. Thanks for sharing your comments. Your feedback is very valuable to us.

I just made these tonight.. although they were very quick and easy... i will not bake them again. I too found them very dry... they were not so much hard but VERY VERY dry. I tried adding about 2-3 tbs of milk but it didnt really help. I was highly disappointed!!

I made these last weekend and they turned out great. The dough looked a little dry to me but I did manage to make the balls.

Soft & Chewy Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cookies

I tried the recipe in the Spring issue of Food & Family. The mix could not be formed into 1" balls - it was too dry. Crumbles everywhere. Finally managed to press into a spoon and slide onto the cookie sheet. Out of the oven, they were hard and dry. I want to know if adding a bit more cream cheese or another egg or even a bit of water would have made them still tasty but easier to form into balls and cook softer or would I have had a bigger mess on my hands?
