I'm headed out to wal-mart today myself, I'm putting this dressing on my list right now!

I went to Walmart last week and the only size they had with the classic taste was the small 8 oz. The labels have the same picture as the 'new recipe' but the band on the top says the old taste is back.

I bought fixings for a spring salad last night and forgot to get the dressing, so tomorrow, I'll get some Catalina and try it on my salad and let you know how it goes. lol

I used to make a great dinner salad with Catalina dressing. I took regular salad fixings, cooked chicken, chili style beans, grated cheese and fritos, then used Catalina as the dressing. We loved it, but I haven't made it in years.

It's great to see all of this excitement. I've actually never had Catalina dressing before... I'm more of a Ranch or Italian fan... but maybe I'll give it a try.

Catalina IS BACK! I also have spent a lot of time and money trying to find a comparable dressing, but nothing else compared to the original Catalina Dressing. I was at Wal-Mart last month and couldn't believe my eyes. There it was a bottle of Catalina without the All Natural words on it. I bought 3 of them, hoping that it was my favorite dressing. Lo and Behold, Taco salad is now back on my table. My family missed our Catalina. Thank you Kraft for listening to the people. I for one am very, very thankful.

So I was doing my weekly shopping this past Saturday and I was browsing down the dressing aisle, and there it was on the shelf; Catalina in orange not red! With big bold letters around the cap: "CLASSIC CATALINA TASTE IS BACK"!!! I couldn't believe it! All of our complaining and whining paid off! :^O I was so happy I bought a bunch of bottles! Thank you Kraft for bringing back the original Catalina! The new improved dressing just did not deserve to be called Catalina and should have just been made as a new dressing not a replacement. I can't believe it though! I've had so many yucky salads without my Catalina in the past year or so :)

For all the Catalina lovers, look in your stores, I hope you find what I found!

THANK YOU KRAFT!

OMG...as my kids say. well last night boys did dinner! What a treat!
Bought artichokes (a favorite)brought up with Catalina dressing for dipping!
I said "I bet you forgot the Catalina!" No they had it. They tasted it. Mom-
must be wrong one - tastes weird!... So my oldest went up to two different stores
and NO same bottle.....after wasted time .. he returns..... I find old bottle in
refrig.... says "new look, same taste" but it definitely wasn't the same as
the new bottle ( I laughed when I looked at date) but STILL tasted good!
So curiousity peaked..... just for kicks went on google search!
Guess I could of saved the search time if we had done this first!
SO MANY NEGATIVE comments on the new Catalina--
YES PLEASE BRING BACK..... you would be happy to know you are one of the only ones with Catalina at our stores.....had there been a different one we would of
tried as the new one you are selling tastes awful. Consumers give you input for a reason... please listen.
Thank you.......
Old Catalina fans!

It really does taste rancid, like it's spoiled.

You don't see divided opinion here. Pretty much everyone thinks it tastes horrible.

My wife and I would like to express our sincere distress with the New Catalina Dressing formula. Like many others here we assumed that the dressing on our "Mexican salad" (a staple in our house for 40 years) had spoiled and threw it out. It really did taste nasty. Checked the date and discovered the "NEW" label. Upon contacting Kraft we were told that opinions were divided on the new formula and were sent a coupon in case it really had been spoiled. Tried another bottle but it was still nasty. Does anyone who liked old Catalina still buy new Catalina? In all the time since, I have yet to find anyone who is willing to eat or cook with the new dressing. Catalina is in many family recipes. Now we are all looking for alternatives. At picnics and neighborhood gatherings this awful public relations blunder has become a topic of conversation. Folks, I think you blew it.
