Bring Back Our Cafe Francais!

I am really upset about this too. I don't understand why they would change the formula without some kind of case study or taste test or something. I KNOW that anybody that drinks this flavor like we do thinks the new formula is too sweet. They've ruined it. Remember what happened when Coke changed its formula? Disaster! Maybe if we all just keep writing to them they'll get the message.

hi byrees, I haven't drank that flavor, but i don't understand WHY they keep changing stuff anyhow??? If it ain't broke, don't fix it???An old adage that Kraft and a lot of other companies seem to need to learn! I have tried several flavored coffees and they just don't seem to taste as good as the ones with the cream & sugar in them, wonder why?

I too am so disappointed in the new formula for Cafe Francais. I have been drinkling every morning for years, and take a can with me wherever I travel. It is just not as enjoyable now. Too sweet and not enough coffee flavor.

HELP! I am in sugar shock! I have been drinking Cafe Francais since 1973 and cannot believe Kraft has messed up my favorite and only coffee! Why would they put in MORE sugar in this day and age is beyond me! I have one can of the original recipe left...any suggestions on what to add (like instant coffee?) to take the over bearing sweetness out? Anyway to buy a case or two of the "old" stuff????

I tried to send a comment on the contact us link and it does not work for me.

I couldn't agree with byrees more. I've been drinking Cafe Francais every day for over 18 years. It was the only one of their flavors that wasn't overly sweet. Now they've ruined it and I've tried but I just can't drink it. The reason I was given for the change is " In July 2009 the GFI café products have been reformulated as latte drinks (contains foam once prepared) and are considered coffeehouse beverage mix – under the new brand name of: General Foods International From the Makers of Maxwell House".

Cafe Francais is one of my favorite International Coffee flavors, although I haven't purchased it in a while. Not sure now if my most recent purchase was the new formula. I used to enjoy the creaminess of it - it did tend to be sweet, but not overly so.

A lot of food manufacturers are reducing the size of their containers but are keeping the price the same. Have you bought a can of tuna recently?

Grrrr. Makes me mad, too.

Kraft subs sugar for fat in a lot of different foods. Either way you get calories.

We noticed that the "new" International Coffee Cafe Francais offers 3 less servings per can (same price). Additionally, and more importantly to us, it tastes sweeter. Comparing the new and old can, we noticed that it carries less fat and one gram more sugar. This is disappointing as most of the International Coffee flavors are way too sweet. Cafe Francais had the perfect balance of semi-sweet and rich. Where can I provide input on this recent change?
