I may be a little late for this party but I"ll give my ideas anyway...An Oscar party.... Ask the girls to were their best outfits (dresses would be good) Plan a formal-ish dinner or tea party for the girls with table cloths, china etc..(assorted tea cups from resale stores for the girls to keep) Serve simple finger foods they like - chicken nuggets, fruits, mini cupcakes etc... Check out the dollar stores - get feather boas for each girl, flashy jewelry, tiaras etc.. have these items at their place settings./chairs. Dollar store "fashion dolls" as their Oscar-etts or spray paint the dolls gold and mount them on small boards or something similar label with girls names as place cards... endless ways to go with this... Make a red carpet movie with girls.. HAVE FUN! I had all boys...but I had fun parties for them too...

Hi, I read your message. I am an artist and I have some ideas for you. You could title the party 13 dream. You could have a sundae bar loaded with all different toppings and ice cream flavors to choose from. You could probably think of 13 ingredients to have in the sundae bar. You could have her and her friends create a list of the top 13 songs to play at the party. All of the guests at the party could make and create their own work of art to take home. Investing in an inexpensive spin art machine and some basic card stock and paint is all you would need. Spin art machines and the supplies I just mentioned are sold at art and craft stores and in most toy departments in major stores. Walmart or a major toy store in your area should have it. There are lots of games that can be played at this party. Some can be done on the computer and printed out. Like you could create a list of thirteen words that could have something to do with the Birthday girl and scramble them. Then have spaces underneath each scrambled word for people to put their answers. You can have some little inexpensive prizes to give away to the winners. You could make up a game that has trivia questions pertaining to the Birthday girls favorite old movies. Then split the party group into teams. And have them race against the clock to come up with the right answers. You could make the object of the game that the first team to answer correctly and achieve a total score of 13 points wins. You could play win lose or draw dream 13 style. Create words that the party goers can draw on a large sketch pad for the other players to guess. All the words can be picked by the birthday girl in advance for the players to draw and guess. You could also create your own version of popular TV game shows like wheel of fortune, Who wants to be a millionaire, or jeopardy. You can also include games that are a bit more physical for example a game you could title dream 13 hoops of dreams. All you would need is a basket ball and net or basket to throw the ball into. You could have the party group broken up into teams. Create a series of questions that all have to do with the birthday girl for the teams to answer. When they answer correctly their team will get 3 opportunities to shoot the ball and make a basket. Each basket that is made will count as a point for that team. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins. You could use colors that the birthday girl likes to decorate. I think some good colors would be a combination of purple, blue, aqua and silver. You could decorate the table with a nice flower arrangement in the center. The flowers can also be a gift for the birthday girl. It would be nice for the birthday girl to go to the salon and receive a treat by being pampered and getting her nails done. And maybe being able to pick out a cute out fit to wear to the party that is within your budget. With some trendy little candle holders and candles. With matching plates, cups, and napkins and a table cloth. You could make everything festive and attractive. You can save a lot of money by going to the dollar store for most of these things. You could choose whatever food you like. Pizza is usually a no muss no fuss party food that most teenagers like. Chicken wings are a favorite to. Good luck with your party planning. I hope you like and try some of my ideas. Have a great Day!

Well, a good thing to do first is to narrow down what kind of movies she likes, then look at how you can tie crafts into that. Or just pick one or the other... plus you can always use foods.
Want to have a very fulfilling party? The girls all get together and carve fruit into the shape of flowers or make crafts that are colorful and then take the items to a retirement home. Although that probably is not a birthday party idea, per se, but you never know!

If she's into crafts, you could have them make jewelry. Get cool beads, clasps, hooks, and some type of string (fishing line, maybe?? It's been a while since I've made anything like this lol).
When I was younger, I would have slumber parties with taco buffets, nachos, popcorn, and sundae buffets.
For music, just put on some of her CDs, or iPod, and have it going in the background. Depending on when the party is, you can go onto Oriental Trading's website and look through decor that they'll ship to you. Or browse around someplace like Party City to see if anything jumps out at you. (If you don't mind a little bit of a mess, get silly string!)
Here's a good link for games: http://parentingteens.about.com/od/birthdays/a/birthdayparty.htm
Good Luck!

Last year my thirteen year old step-daughter had a spa party. She invited friends over and they did their nails, foot scrubs, and facials. ( you can get single packets of each of these from Wal-Mart) Each girl had their own bag of goodies to use and then keep after the party. For dinner there was salad with chicken nuggets they could tear up and add to the salad. You can always make it a night by throwing in an old movie and eating popcorn.

She is turning 13. She wants to have the party in the summer. She likes crafts and old movies. She doesn't know what kind of theme she wants, so I am going to help her. What are some creative ideas? Please help me with decorating, food, theme, music, games, activities, and such. Sorry if this is to much to ask for! But thank you all.
