This is a favorite for us. Eventhough, it isn't a make ahead weeks in advance it is a no fuss the day of. Heat the below on the stove and put in crockpot. The wonton chips can be made a day or two in advance by cutting wonton wrappers in rectangles and frying in vegetable oil for just a minute or two until golden brown. Let drain on paper towels and once cool, place in an airtight container or storage zipper baggy.
4-6 oz imitation crab, chopped 1 ½ lb cream cheese, softened ½ c gr onions, chopped 2 t worchestershire sauce 1 c sour cream 2 t minced garlic ½ c grated parmesan cheese 1 c half & half Cream sour cream, parm, cr cheese & half & half in saucepan on med-low heat until smooth. Add remaining ingredients. Spoon into crockpot turned on low. Serve with wonton chips.

My sister makes these and uses imitation crab meat, cream cheese, garlic powder and a little green onion and they are great! She also freezes them and they turn out fine weeks later, just make sure you are dusting them in flour good before you freeze them so they don't stick together - it's a mess!

Welcome to the Kraftfoods community, Dolores. How are you planning on doing the final preparation? Do you want to bake or fry the appetizers? Or do you have something else in mind?

I need a recipe using crabmeat and won ton wrappers that can be made ahead and frozen for about 2 weeks. I need this in a hurry as my party is Nov. 14.
