Cookie pizza is ALWAYS a hit at everything I throw.

chocolate chip cookie spread into a round pizza like shape. I spread pineapple or strawberry cream cheese on top, and then I use sliced strawberries, bananas, and kiwi.

There is another variation called Texas Trash or White Trash that uses white chocolate or almond bark.

WHITE TRASH

4 c. Golden Grahams
4 c. Cheerios
4 c. Crispix
1 can peanuts
1 can mixed nuts
1 bag pretzels sticks
2 lbs white chocolate plus 2 tbs cooking oil
or 2 lbs almond bark (I usually use the almond bark)

I also like to add dried cranberries since I make this mostly for Christmas. I use one of the bigger bags full.

Melt almond bark over double boiler (or 2 minutes in microwave). DO NOT OVERCOOK. Stir frequently while melting. Immediately pour over mix, mixing thoroughly. Spread out on wax paper. When cool break into smaller pieces.

There are a bunch of variations to Puppy Chow, here is one that I use:

1 stick butter
1/2 c. peanut butter
12 oz. chocolate chips
9 c. Chex cereal
Powdered sugar (1 to 2 c.)

Melt butter, peanut butter and chocolate together. Pour cereal into large paper bag, pour chocolate mixture over top and shake to coat. Add powdered sugar and shake to coat, then remove to cookie sheet until sets. Keeps for a couple days in a airtight container.

The recipe for the Oreo Truffles are awesome and they would go great!! It's 3 ingredients and you can make them the day before and stick them in the fridge until the party!

They will be a hit!!

Sounds like it's going to be a fun party!!

I usually try to choose one dish that looks beautiful - something that will really wow them. Many times, I'll spend extra time and effort to make sure it looks great. Anything else is just an added bonus (especially when it's all chocolate), so I'll choose anything quick and easy.

By the way, I've never met anyone who didn't like my puppy chow. It's so good and so easy, I think it should definitely be included.

Good luck with your party!

As a side note:
To the person who asked what puppy chow is, it is also known as Chex muddy buddies.

Death by Chocolate party

I'm doing a Partylite show for my cousin in a couple of weeks, and the theme I chose is "Death by Chocolate". I have a bunch of ideas, but I'm trying to pare them down because I'm really not expecting a lot of people at all (maybe 4 or 5). The ideas I have are:

Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Puppy Chow
Cookie Pizza (or Brownie Pizza)
Chocolate Silk Pie or Mini Chocolate Pies
Chocolate Milkshakes

How can I figure out which ones would be best??
