Hope everyone had a great long weekend.
We got all of first crop in, lots of chicken, burgers and steaks, stuff that was easily eaten while driving a tractor.

My Memorial Day BBQ menu was as follows:
Pork Steaks ( grilled) Chedder Burgers (the cheese was in middle of patties: Two patties put together to make one buger with the cheese middle) Green Beans with bacon and onions Ranch Bake Pototes Hots Dogs Devil eggs
That was my menu, my devil eggs were gone in first hour!! And we only had two burger left. I hope everyone had a good Memorial Day BBQ!!

Our BBQ this year isn't happening due to a bunch of family traveling, but YOUR BBQ looks so good! It's been a long time since I've had deer meat and I love it.. I'm so jealous lol

I have made a seafood jello mold. You use lemon jello and add whatever fish and seafood you like along with a can of peas and tartar sauce for garnish. It looks very attractive when you use a nice fish mold.

oh ya know, one of those things you grab at the seafood counter in the grocery store, sometime frozen, but they're steamed-then-chilled large shrimp, with cocktail sauce.

We have a good stretch of weather so the guys are getting in our first crop of hay. I'll keep burgers and chicken on the grill and some pasta salad.

Thanks. Venison has become something of a practical part of our diet, too. The marinade sounds delicious.

Venison Speedies are deer meat (generally tenderloin) cut into about 2" pieces and marinated - for about 24 hours - in this stuff called Spiedie Sauce and then skewered & grilled(it's something we picked up from our friends who live in upstate NY) it's really big up there! Everytime my husband goes up to NY to visit and do his deer hunting he picks up a few gallons of the stuff - it reminds me of a flavorful Italian Dressing - it really tenderizes the meat and makes for some delicious sandwiches - check out this link...they're delicious! I never, ever in my life thought I would enjoy deer meat but we've come to love them!! also very good for chicken too

We'll be serving appx. 15-20 guests (give or take) and it's usually an all day event, swimming, BBQ, horseshoes, fireworks, and just hanging out!!

What are venison speedies? We always seem to have venison in our freezer, so I'm constantly on the lookout for new recipes.
The rest of your menu sounds great, too. How many people?
My husband and I will be traveling so we had our Memorial Day picnic last weekend. Hot dogs, beans, potato salad and strawberry shortcake. It was way too cold to eat outside, but this week it has been warming up.
