Non-melting desserts. Hmm. You could do a search using the link Deanne shared and look up pastries. They can be made so many ways and tend to hold up pretty well in heat... since, well, they are usually baked lol.
Maybe a puff pastry filled with gooey chocolate. Mmmmm.

Cobbler is a great idea for the hot temps. For ease of serving a non-finger foody item, use small dixie cups with plastic spoons. Let folks help themselves.

This is really a good idea blessedmommy and also with Moderator Jane idea of homemade ice cream. It's nothing like a fresh fruit cobbler topped with some homemade ice cream.

Brownies and cookies are both good options. I also like the idea of fresh fruit, although for so many, I think fruit kabobs are more trouble than serving the fruit in a large bowl. Have you asked around to see if anyone has ice cream makers? You just can't beat homemade ice cream for a summer party. YUM!

Welcome to the community reginamagee, PyromaniacsIII, and HugAFishie. =)
I often make raisin cookies into bar cookies and they stay out fine for these sorts of parties. You can also check the recipes here http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/AdvancedRecipeSearch.aspx for lots of bar cookie recipes.

Try hotdogs or mini hotdogs, fruit kabobs, veggie tray.. all are finger foods and the only thing you might need is a tray of ice to put the fruit kabobs over to keep them fresh.

I am hosting a neighborhood pool party and am looking for a finger dessert that won't melt in 100+ degree temperatures. I was hoping to find bar cookie recipes that I can leave out and not worry that they will become a mess before they can be enjoyed. Thanks for your help. rm
