I love the oreo and cream cheese balls! I make lots of homemade candy at christmastime and this is one of my family's favorite!

It's hard to tell who's around the site with all the disappearing posts.

LOL he would be the first one to say "this isn't a dating site". Now that I think about it I haven't seen him around lately as the "Stofmeister" or Frank Barone for that matter.

I've seen the mint ones. The other two I haven't, but would like to try.
I'm thinking I'd stick with double stuff though. =D

I don't think I'd have thought of that combo, but they look good, I'll have to give it a try.
On a side note, they have peanut butter oreos? I've never seen them up here.

I never knew about this site - just going through it a bit, the recipes offered for free are pretty awesome-looking and I saw a lot of comments that the recipes were right on the money or very close.
I'm definitely going to be printing pages off from there.

We were watching some cooking show one night and they were making "homemade" oreos--my husband made me copy recipe cuz he loves oreos but I haven't tried it yet. They sure looked good.
2 packages devil's food cake mix 1 1/2 cups vegetable shortening 4 eggs 2 tablespoons milk 1 8-ounce package cream cheese 2 2/3 cups powdered sugar 3/4 cup butter
Cream together the first 4 ingredients. Roll into balls and bake at 350° for 9 minutes only. Let them cool on the pan. Mix the rest of the ingredients together for frosting and put frosting between cookies. Best if refrigerated.

I just made the oreo balls yesterday and instead of rolling them in almond bark, I drizzled them with white chocolate. They looked soo impressive. And they tasted Amazing. They look more like little truffles and after putting them in mini muffin liners, they would be PERFECT for an event.

> Oreos and cream cheese. Interesting combination.
I thought the same thing. I used the recipe from this website http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/recipes/easy-oreo-truffles-95085.aspx and it was great. You're using and entire package of Oreos and only 8 oz. cream cheese. The cream cheese acts more as a binder than something that adds flavor. I tried them with peanut butter Oreos too. Yum.
