Happy Shopping!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Yeah I love Kmart when they double up to 2.00....and that week they normally have a good sale too so it is a good week to save money at Kmart. I have never had a problem with kmart and coupons. Well take that back last week i tried to get a 100. layaway out and the day before i was sent a 5.00 coupon from kmart via email and the "key" didnt want to honor that coupon and the week befoe she didnt want to honor a new sale they had on a set of pots and pans i put on layaway ( up until a certian time Kmart will honor a new sale on things in layaway and i had on had my stuff in layaway for 5 days) but i emailed Kmart and told them and the next day the mang called me, (other things happened while i wa there and people got fired, yeah it was that bad) but he called and he was real upset the way i was treated and he honored the coupon, the sale she neglected to credit me for the week prior which all totaled up to 17.00 and then he gave me a gift card for 25.00. I only wanted the sales prices and coupon honored so the gift was a very generous gesture. I have always loved kmart and always hated walmart and reasons like this is why.....had tha been walmart i still would have not heard from mangment.......

Good for you on calling Walmart and complaining. I have realized that some cashiers are just lazy and dont want to have to key in a coupon if it wont scan, I make them or they end up having more work to do because I will end up picking through things they have bagged already and make them take it off so it ends up being more work for the lazy cashier. I have had my share of cashiers at walmart say they dont take internet coupons and I have to point out to them that some were printed from Walmarts website so that makes no sense. For a store to say they dont take internet coupons in 2009 is ridiculous. And I am shocked cheap walmart gave a gift card for them making a mistake. I live next to one of the worst walmart there is and I cant begin to think of how many times i have complained and all were ligit complaints from the store to never having a stocked store to complaining about there only being 3 cashiers at 6pm. So I am all for someone chewing them out and actually making some sort of impact with complaining.

Wow! Nice to know they're sending you a gift card and following up on it. I may give out local one a call to see what they say about the internet coupons.
Thanks for the heads up!

Well girls, I started this subject about Walmart not accepting internet coupons. I went in to my local Walmart on April 6 and got $35 worth of groceries and I had internet coupons. Once I was told that they no longer accepted them, I returned everything I had a coupon for, leaving my grocery purchase at $12. Well, after posting here, I decided to email Walmart corporate. Today, I received a call from their assistant store manager apologizing for the inconvenience and giving me a gift card for the hassle. He also ask for the cashier number on my receipt. I told him that I had also called over a manager and she confirmed what the cashier had said. So, I will keep you posted. Corporate says that they DO take coupons. If you are told anything different I would contact them. We need all the discounts we can get in these economic times.

I haven't found any site where you can get free stuff without jumping through hoops and filling out 100's of surveys. I do sign up to receive emails from all the manufacturers I'm interested in. Vocalpoint is a good site. I get lots of coupons for new products from them. I have a website where I post a link to all the major links for printable coupons. But you may already know about them. You can visit it at http://www.wichitacouponmom.com to see if I have some you've not found.

I totally agree. i used to shop only at walmart, but more and more im shopping at price chopper or aldi's. price chopper has lots of 'buy one get one free' or even 'buy 1 get 2 free' sometimes. but every week you can find deals like that, and they accept internet coupons! good luck shopping everyone!

Kudos to whoever it was that posted the internet coupon policy for Wal-Mart! I use a lot of internet coupons at my local Wal-Marts and have had no problems redeeming them. So long as it says Manufacturer Coupons and has a bar code they should be acceptable. It would be good, as suggested, to print off their coupon policy and take it with you! I was sorry to hear so many of you have had problems with your Wal-Mart not accepting them....it is a general policy of Wal-Mart and should not be left up to store managers. They should also accept coupons for free products that come directly from the manufacturer. Just MHO!

I work at a kmart store and YES we do take internet coupons They do have certain FREE coupons that are not accepted because they cannot tell if they are legit. And every once in a while we offer double coupons. (One week even double coupons up to $2.00 so my $2.00 coupons were worth $4.00!!!!!!) Just keep your eyes open and shop in the store because double coupons are not always advertised in the weekly flyers. Also remember to combine coupons with sale items no matter where you shop. Happy Shopping!!!!

I don't know if they can legally do that. It varies by state.

Walmart's prices are leaping, not creeping. Publix used to be the most expensive in our area but I find that if I shop their specials it is much cheaper than buying at Walmart! I just think of it as being like if I were living on a farm and needed to cook whatever was "in season." So having a large repertoire of recipes is more important than ever in this economy.

I have noticed that Walmart's prices have been creeping up here lately and when I compare them to other stores, such as Dillons (Kroger), who used to be the highest hands down, Dillons is often beating their prices, plus with the gas dicounts that are offered here when you use the pharmacy and just buying groceries, it is hard to shop other places. I shop at many different stores and luckily 3 of the 5 are in the same shopping center, one is on the way home and the other is just a few blocks up the road from the other. Internet coupons is almost all I use, and I have found even though they say do not double, a lot of times they will still double automatically. I shop the ads exclusively and then buy the rest at some place like Aldi's. Also each Walmart makes their own rules under their district manager. Often store manager's also have the power to overturn those decisions if it is in the best interest of their store, but that usually means a cut to their bonuses at the end of the year, so it doesn't happen much. Ours still takes internet coupons.

I think it depends on the store. There are 3 Waalmarts that are relatively close to me, 2 take the internet coupons and 1 does not. Needless to say, I go to the ones that do. I love internet coupons because lot of times they are better than the ones in the paper.

Walmarts doing alot of things that do not help the consumer.. not accepting internet coupons, no more layaways, plus the prices arent that cheap anymore. I hardly shop there at all anymore!
