My good friend shared this with me. She takes a can of apple pie filling, cherry pie filling, a bottle of ginger ale, and an enevelope of hot chocolate mix, and puts it in a slow cooker. She sprinkles to top with an instant oatmeal packet and has a very comforting dessert. She cooks it in the slow cooker for 4 hours. I'm not sure where she got the recipe from.

Thanks for the recipes - I'll try them soon!
BTW, for work we dropped the idea of a warm dessert. Instead I brought in apple slices & caramel dip.

I would be happy to Decadent Chocolate Delight......1 pkg chocolate cake mix(about 18 oz), 1 cup (8oz) sour cream, 1 cup chocolate chips, 1 cup water, 4 eggs, 3/4 cup veg oil, 1 pkg(4-serving size) instant chocolate pudding mix. Grease the inside of crock pot w/ butter or non stick spray. Combine all ingredients in greased crock pot until well mixed. Cover and cook on LOW 6-8 hours or HIGH 3-4 hours. Brownie Bottoms....1/2 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup water, 2 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder, 2 1/2 cups packaged brownie mix, 1 pkg instant chocolate pudding mix, 1/2 cup chocolate chips, 2 eggs beaten, 3 tbs melted butter. Grease crock pot. In small saucepan, combine brown sugar, water and cocoa powder;bring to a boil. Combine brownie mix, pudding mix, chocolate chips, eggs and butter in medium bowl until well blended. Spread batter(will be thick) into crock pot and pour boiling sugar mixture over batter. Cover and cook on HIGH for 1 1/2 hours. Turn heat off and let stand for 30 min. Peach Upside Down Cake.... 1 can (8 1/2 oz) Peach slices, 1/3 cup packed brown sugar, 2 tbs butter melted, 1/4 cup chopped pecans, 1 (16 oz) package Pound cake mix(plus ingredients to prepare mix), 1/2 tsp almond extract. Grease 7 1/2 inch cake pan or baking dish that will fit inside crock pot;set aside. Drain peach slices, reserving 1 tbs juice. Combine reserved peach juice, brown sugar and butter in prepared pan. Arrange peach slices on top of brown sugar mixture. Sprinkle w/ pecans. Prepare cake mix according to package directions and stir in almond extract. spread over peach mixture. cover pan w/ lid or aluminum foil. make foil handles. use foil handles to place pan into crock pot. Cover and cook on HIGH 3 hrs. Remove pan from crock pot using foil handles. cool pan, uncovered on wire rack 10 min. I made the Brownie Bottoms last night and they were awesome!

That recipe only cooks on low for 2-3 hours with paper towels on top to absorb the moisture, so I would think the nuts would be fine.

Babs, I think that the nuts would get get mushy in a crock pot. Also, the raisins. I like mushy nuts and raisins but not everyone does. A crock pot would sure make it easier, tho!

Here is one for Apple & Cinnamon Bread Pudding - it doesn't say how many it serves, but maybe a double batch using 2 crock pots would do it.

Has anyone used a crock pot to make a warm dessert, such as apple crisp, for a large crowd? I have found a few recipes, but they are for 4 - 8 servings. I will need to make enough for 20-30 people. I have a 5 quart crock pot & I can borrow another one if needed.
With the smaller recipes, I could use 3 or 4 crock pots, but I don't want to.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
