I usually give people a cookie and then make them guess which kind it is before I tell them. Some people seem a little put off otherwise and won't try them. A lot of them say it tastes like a peanut butter cookie. They turn out really flat and crispy, kind of like a potato chip, I don't know if thats because they HAVE chips in them? They're really yummy! Give them a try!

That definitely is unique. I have never heard of cookies using potato chips. How does it change the taste having salty chips in the cookies?

I make these really good chocolate chip cookies that I think are really good. When I bring them to work all of my employees gobble them up like nobody can!!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 box of sugar free vanilla or chocolate instant pudding
2 eggs
1cup brown sugar (sugar free if you can find it)
1 cup splendra sugar
2 1/4 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 bag of chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts

Mix softened butter, pudding, vanilla and eggs together then add sugars.
Add flour and soda together.
Then add chips and walnuts.
Drop onto cookie sheets and cook at 350 for about 15 minutes (depending on your oven)

I hope you like this....enjoy

This recipe is unique, and one of our favorites. It yeilds about 3 dozen.

POTATO CHIP COOKIES

1 c. butter or marg., softened
1 c. white sugar
1 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 t. baking soda
2 c. crushed potato chips
6 oz. butterscotch chips or nuts (I use 3 oz. crushed walnuts)

Cream butter and sugars. Add remaining ingredients. Place by spoonfuls onto greased sheet. Bake at 325 for 10 mins.
----
I find that 10 mins isn't quite enough, I like to go 11 or 12. They'll actually look quite underdone when you pull them out, but they set up nicely. They also cook up very spread-out and flat, so I only do 8 cookies per baking sheet. Play around with the cooking time to find what you like, and you'll have salty-sweet goodness that'll be the talk of the party. ;) Also make sure to take them off of the cookie sheet right away and cool them on your counter, or they'll stick and you'll have a crumbly mess.

Hello Keynibear,

Here's a digital cookies exchange thread that was posted by Carrie, that has some good cookie recipes on it including two posted by me. I hope this helps to get you started with cookie baking ideas.

I just love "cookie exchanges", but it's had to get people to do it, expecially when they have to be homemade and not from a mix, so thats where I'd state, with a homemade recipe. I personally love homemade sugar cookies, expecially when there cut into shapes and decorated. no bakes are a good one, a lady at church made 'peanut butter chews, from corn flakes that were really good, but i don't have the recipe. Lots of luck, annaskf

I am going to be doing a cookie exchange at the begining of Dec, and I am looking for some new ideas.

In the past I've alwasy made fudge or truffles, and most people (from cookie exchanges I've been to) just do chocolate chip or peanut butter cookies, so there is never much variety.

Does anyone have any ideas to share with me? I know your ideas won't help what other people will bring, but maybe the cookie I bring will be the talk of the party, so to speak.
