Are there canned, cold boiled potatoes? Cold boiled potatoes are made with liquid nitrogen.

Use your leftover potroast to make excellent Hash. Shred or put meat through an oldfashioned grinder. YUP still have one. If you have potatoes left, dice, add to ground/shredded meat. Add oil to frypan, add diced onions and saute till clear, add your meat and potatoes. This is not a dish I make from scratch, always leftovers. A food processor only turns the meat to mush, so dont recommend. When all else fails, buy a can at the grocery.

I have never had a problem with the canned versions, but the recipe sounds interesting. Do diners make it from scratch like this?

You probably cannot cold boil anything. Boiling tends to make things get hot. Whenever I boil things, they get hot. Maybe cold boiled potatoes means frozen precooked potatoes.

I think it means to chill the potatoes after they are boiled.
