Yep, that's what I would do.
Use Dreamfields or Whole Wheat Pasta for the sauce.

Try mixing your hamburger with ground turkey. This will make it a little healthier and you'll have the extra added bonus of converting your family's taste buds to a healthier alternative.

Yes, drain the fat, but still hamburger and red meat in general is not a very heart-friendly product.
Do you have friends or family you could give it too?

We make kabobs~ Mix 1lb of meat with shredded onion, garlic, and a bit of salt. Make mini rolls (about a large table spoon full) with the meat, and broil. Serve with feta and pita (whole wheat) and couscous. Green onion on the side. If you want a sause shred cucumber into plain yogart and add dry mint (a liitle goods a long way.) I use about 2lbs of meat when I make it, leftovers are very good.
Happy cooking

After browning your hamburger, run hot water over the meat in a strainer. This removes extra fat and brings down the fat level of the meat altogether. Then make your tacos, sloppy joes, etc. Red meat is not bad for you if you limit it to two or three times a week.

My family loves hamburger meat (i.e. Hamburger helper, tacos, stroganoff, etc.), but I have recently started cooking more healthy, weight friend, heart friendly foods. I have about 7 pounds of hamburger meat in my freezer that I need to cook before it gets all yucky. Any ideas on hamburger healthy recipes??? Please help!
