Hope you enjoy we really like this one. You can use beef if you like. I always tenderize mine before cooking it. You can also find seasonal vegs to add!

Chicken Stir Fry

Get the biggest skillet you can…
3 chicken breasts, thawed and sliced.

The Sauce:
1 cup chicken broth
1 Tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp veg oil
1 tsp sugar
½ tsp salt
---------------------------
1 Tbsp ginger (I use powdered)
3 cloves garlic, diced
½ c onion, diced
6 cups of vegs your choice: broccoli, carrots shreds or diced, red/yellow/green pepper, mushrooms sliced, bamboo shoots, peas, pea pods, celery diced, sliced water chestnuts, bean sprouts, etc.

Make the sauce and put aside.
Heat your skillet w/ some oil in it. Add onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook a minute or so, stirring. Add the vegs until they are hot but crisp. Push back to the sides of the skillet. Add chicken stir until cooked through. Add the sauce and mix all together. Cook until sauce is a little thick. Serve over rice.

Men like meatloaf. I would make him a heart shaped meatloaf. All you need is 3lbs ground beef, a can of cheddar cheese soup, a can of cream of mushroom soup, a packet of dry onion soup mix, ketchup, and some grape tomatoes for decorating.

Mix the mushroom soup and onion mix into the meat, separate into 2 equal parts and shape into a heart (not a real heart shape, a Valentines heart shape). Spread the cheese soup on top of one layer and then put the other meat mix heart on top of it. Blend the edges together so the cheese soup doesn't leak out when cooking. Bake at 375 or so for about a half hour. Glaze with the ketchup and bake another half hour or until thoroughly cooked. Place the tomatoes all aound the top and serve with more ketchup.

One of my favorite dishes is my mother's version of
~Coq Au Vin (chicken in wine.)~
2 lbs. chicken pieces (I use thighs)
3 Tbsp. olive oil
1/4 lb. bacon, diced
3/4 c. chopped onions
3 minced shallots
3 carrots, sliced
1 clove garlic, peeled
2 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. thyme
2 Tbsp. minced parsley
1 tsp. salt (I don't add salt)
1 tsp. marjoram
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 bay leaf
1 1/2 c. dry white wine (or more, as needed)
1/2 lb. sliced mushrooms (optional)
Heat olive oil. Add bacon, onions, carrots, shallots and garlic: brown lightly. Push the vegetables aside and brown the chicken in the grease. Combine the flour, thyme, parsley, salt, marjoram, pepper and bay leaf. Stir into chicken and veggies. Stir in the wine. Cover and simmer chicken over low heat until done, about 1 hour. Add the mushrooms for the last 5 minutes of cooking time. Skim off any excess fat, correct the seasoning if necessary, and add more wine if the sauce is too thick. Serve over egg noodles with the sauce poured over it.

It's a lot of prep, chopping and everything, but then it's easy. I make it in an electric skillet.

Welcome to the community, Kara. =)

Does he have a favorite food/foods? I'm sure there are lots of ideas for recipes that way, too.

Last night I learned that oysters are a turn on. How about a quick oyster dish? Mix one can in the a jar of pasta sauce and serve over spaghetti. Don't forget the can of cheese!

Um, it's not the most romantic thing, lol but we are having Totchos...tater tot nachos.

1 bag Ore-Ida tater tots
2 cans Campbels Fiesta Nacho Chese soup
I can rotel tomatoes (if you like it spicy)
1 pound cooked ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning (or one container of pre-made taco meat)
1 can kidney beans

Taco toppings, like sour cream, tomatoes, lettuce, olives, etc

Cook the tater tots in the oven or deep fryer. While they cook, heat the nacho cheese soup with the rotel tomatoes and kidney beans until hot. When the tots are done, divide them to four plates, top with the cheese mixture, ground beef, and toppings.

Probably not the best for a romantic meal (because of the beans)...but guys really love this stuff.

Help making a romantic meal to say thanks! What is the dinner recipe that you are using and eating tonight?
Star this. I am in the mood for something different, but don't want to search thousands of recipes. Please post what you are eating tonight along with the recipe for it please. I am also trying to serve this as a special meal for my fiance because he has been working extra to earn more money to replace our car because the engine blew up last Monday. Thanks to everyone who answers.

By the way, he loves almost everything, I can't think of ANY foods or ingredients that he doesn't like, same with me!
