Thanks for the input. I thought all pork loin's were the same. I cooked a boneless in crock pot and it was great and juicy. I thought anything could be cooked in crock pot. Any suggestions for a sirloin roast. Mine are always tough and dry.
Thanks Y2KBug

I agree with Dorenek.
I think people are confusing a pork TENDERloin with a pork loin. They are two different things.
A tenderloin is very lean and cooks quickly. A loin has more fat and can be cooked more slowly.
A TENDERloin should never, ever be cooked in a crockpot. You'll ruin a great piece of meat that way. It's best cooked on a grill or in a grill pan.
A regular loin is great in a crockpot or as a pork oven roast.

Hi
I''m new here on board. I fix Pork Tenderloin Boneless in crock pot and put one can of granberry sauce on top and cook all day on low. Very tender and juicy.

I get one of the packets of dry french onion soup mix and brown sugar and rub the pork tenderloin with it. Bake it until done. When its done the juices make the BEST gravy. my family LOVES it. I usually add a little more brown sugar to the gravy and garlic and onion salt/powder to taste. YUMMY!

Some of you sound like you are talking about a pork loin, they are different from a pork tenderloin. Pork tenderloin, rub it with oil, season with salt and pepper, brown on all sides then put it in the oven or grill til done 30-40 minutes. If it is pre marinade just cook in oven 30-40 minutes. We perfer the plain ones then you can add the seasonings you want.

I don't think everyone read that it was teriyaki flavored... I am sure you have prepared it by now.. but I always grill mine, cause it is a very tender meat and it makes it amazing. When I buy it teriyaki flavored I serve it with rice, and maybe some stir fryed veggies. You can even buy fortune cookies to add to the theme. Hint - I change out my fortunes in our cookies - personalize them for each one of my kids (four boys), and it isn't hard at all.

My mother used to slice and bread with finely crushed crackers. She would mix some garlic salt in with the crackers to add flavor. Then she would fry it with butter. I fry with the bottom of the pan covered in oil. When done it is basically pork nuggets.

We had pork tenderloin last night that was great and easy. Mix equal amounts of apricot jam and pesto and spread on top of the pork loin. Add chicken broth to the pan, about 3/4 cup, so the drippings won't burn. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let the meat sit for 10-15 min before cutting.

There are two ways that work well for us. My mother-in-law used to cut the tenderloin into slices, flour, fry and then make gravy. She then simmered the gravy with the tenderloin slices in it and served it over rice. It's a southern type of dish, but it is good.
Mostly, I roast the tenderloin. After removing excess fat and the silver skin, I line a dish with nonstick aluminum foil. I use a packet of dry Good Seasoning dressing mix as a rub on the meat. Put in a preheated oven of 425 for about an hour. Test with the meat thermometer to make sure it's done. Since you'll probably have some dressing mix left over, cut up some red potatoes and vadalia onions. Make them chunky! Mix the remaining dressing mix with about 1/2 to 2/3 cup of oil. Mix potatoes, onions and dressing making sure to coat well. Now put potatoes and onions in a nonstick aluminum foil lined baking dish in a single layer. Put them right in the same oven as the tenderloin. They should be done is about the same time. I found this recipe here and more than 50 people said it was really good.

I've done that too at my local grocer w/fresh loins. I usually have the top end cut off for a pork roast and will get a 3-4 pound loin and cut the rest into chops. Adds a little variety. This method was recommended by my butcher and he has never steered me wrong yet . I wait until it goes on sale (usually is $2.49/lb and will be on sale for $1.89/lb) and stock up.

You know- most people here are going to want to shoot me- but I buy the pork tenderloin at Cub when they are BOGO, and I NEVER prepare it whole. I take the "log" and cut it up into 3/4" pork medallions and grill them. I use the excess marinade in the package to brush on the medallions as I grill, I cook them on a med/low setting and they are so delicious and juicy and only take about 2-3 minutes per side!!

Next time buy the plain tenderloin. I cook mine in the oven with any or all of these - baby carrots, chunks of potatoes and cabbage, mushrooms. I just put all in a baking pan, pepper them well, and cover with worchestershire sauce and lots of Fat Free Italian dressing. I cook at 350 for about an hour - depending on the size of the tenderloin. They stay moist and it is a one dish meal. Just add a salad or green beans or peas and some hot bread.
