That recipe sounds decadent but might be great for a group. I wonder how you serve it? Unmold it and slice or slice like brownies and scoop it out?

My 2 cents, not sure this hasn't already been listed. It's the Duggar Family recipe.
24 ice cream sandwiches 8 ounces Cool Whip® 2 king-size Butterfinger® candy bars, chopped up 1 squeeze-bottle Hershey's® chocolate syrup 1 squeeze-bottle Smucker's® caramel topping
Instructions: Arrange in six layers in a 9x13-inch pan: 1st layer: 12 ice cream sandwiches, placed over bottom of pan 2nd layer: half the container of Cool Whip® 3rd layer: half of the chopped-up Butterfinger® bars topped with half of the chocolate syrup and half of the caramel topping 4th layer: the rest of the ice cream sandwiches 5th layer: the rest of the Cool Whip® 6th layer: the rest of the chopped-up Butterfinger® bars, topped with the rest of the caramel topping and the chocolate syrup
Freeze and eat as desired.

Yep, not exactly your recipe, but it does give an overall idea about how to put one together, plus it's a really easy recipe.

I tried it with mint chocolate chip sandwiches and that was great. There is so many different flavors of ice cream sandwiches that the possibilities are endless

Ice Cream Sandwich Cake Makes: 24+ Total Time: 15 min Submitted by: Marshajo Category: Gelatin, Puddings, & Other Desserts Sub Category: Frozen Desserts
Ingredients: 2 boxes of your favorite ice cream sandwiches (Neapolitan makes it look really fancy) 2 tubs Cool Whip (strawberry if using Neapolitan ice cream) Chocolate and Caramel syrup (strawberry)
Preparation : Open 1 box of ice cream sandwiches and lay flat in a 13x9-inch pan. Top with one tub of Cool Whip. Layer the second box and top with Cool Whip. Return to freezer until about 15 minutes before serving. Drizzle syrup over the top layer to make it look pretty. Cut into squares and serve. If you use the Neapolitan Sandwiches layer it with the Strawberry Cool Whip and use the Chocolate and Strawberry syrup to decorate.Notes
** I had a hard time trying to find it to Moderator Deanne. I had to cut and paste, I hope this is what your looking for Heather**
