Daddy is out of town for the weekend, so I invited my nieces over for a slumber party with me & my girls - I suggested ordering pizza and they all wanted those bread bowl pastas from Domino's...they ordered those and I got an oven baked sandwich...not terrible but not great either
for tonight I've got Chicken Taco Soup in the slow cooker...and chocolate chip banana bread in the oven!! YUM!!

Sorry Jane, I'm keeping him for life! I am so blessed!
Last night was pot roast in crock pot. Carrots, green beans, and scal. potatoes. Didn't have potatoes at home yesterday morning when I started the roast.
Not sure about tonight, yet.

Last night we had pot roast, potatoes, carrots in the crock pot and sticky buns for dessert.
Tonight will be pork chops, most likely glazed with Hoisin and blackberry jam, brown rice, and corn. I will make coco-banana bars today also....yummy!

tryed something new last night, and it was delicious!!
Crescent Topped Casserole cooked 1lb. ground turkey w/diced peppers & onions (sprinkled w/S&P and garlic powder, of course), stir in 1 cup pasta sauce, pour meat mixture into round baking dish. In a bowl combine 1/2 cup sour cream & 1 cup mozz chesse, spoon evenly over beef mixture, sprinkle with parm cheese...top with crescent rolls and bake for 20 mins... served with a salad

I want your hubby. Actually mines cooks a lot too, so I can't complain. We continued our efforts to rid the refridgerator of edible produce. Hubby had the last of the brisket plus veggies and I had a veggie plate.
Tonight we're going to a fund raiser for the local arts council. Local artists create small paintings to be auctioned off. This year there are 350 or so. Hubby has two. It should be fun.
I'm lobbying for dinner at the Olive Garden after. I haven't been there in yonks.

We have a house full of company arriving Friday, night so we're eating down everything we can that's in the fridge. Last night we had a cup of bean soup, brisket with BBQ sauce, mixed greens and rice.
Tonight will be roasted vegetables for sure plus a little of this and a little of that.

Awe Krista.....I hear you...my babies aren't babies either, they will be 11 and 14 this comming year....I have been sad since they hit "double digitts".....
Here is a recipe I usually make with leftover chicken, turkey, or ham....
2 cups cooked egg noodles 1 Tbl. chicken bouillon 2 1/2- 3 cups low-fat milk 3 Tbls. flour 2 cups cooked meat ( chicken, turkey, ham) 2 cups frozen veggies, thawed ( I usually use broccoli) 1/2 cup sour cream or plain low-fat yogurt 1 cup shredded cheese ( I usually use cheddar)
Preheat oven to 350. In a saucepan, combine milk, flour, and bouillon, stir until flour is dissolved. Heat over medium heat until mixture thickens slightly.
In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together and place in a greased 2-quart dish and bake for 25-30minutes.
Add more cheese on top or cracker crumbs before baking if desired.
