Last night was a starter of shrimp and hot shrimp & crab dip; dinner was filet mignon, a whole filet of salmon, pommes anna, roasted asparagus and broccoli, warm bread, and caesar salad. Home made valentine's cupcakes for dessert. We had a friend of ours over for dinner whose wife recently left him (didn't want him to be alone). Our son was with us as well. Simple, easy and tasty. I hope everyone had a lovely evening was well!

My son and I had macaroni with white cheddar cheese and bacon with a side of sweet corn and some garlic bread. I thought it was great. My son was a bit less enthusiastic. He's used to the orange stuff. lol

Girls night out has been cancelled. I did eat fast food last night, because we were in a hurry and I didn't preplan. I know....there is no excuse, and I hated throwing the money away.
Happy Valentine's Day everyone. Hope you have a romantic day with your spouses tomorrow. And can I just say that I think I have the most wonderful husband in the world (and my kids have the best Daddy)! We truly are blessed!

I hope your Dad's surgery is a complete success, NMUmom. You have inspired me. I think I'll make stir fry for dinner. Last night was knitting group so I noshed on protein bar. DH finished off the pot of soup.

It was a rainy day that called for grilled cheese and soup. Come on spring!
NMUmom, hope your dad has an easy, and quick, recovery. =)

My dad had back surgery yesterday, so I spent the day at the hospital. It was really late, we were tired and Mom was staying the nite here. Had Asian stirfry for a carryout dinner from Pei Wei. I have to say it was very good, I'd never had it before.
This morning I put meat sauce in the crock pot to plan ahead for tonites dinner.

No baby popping yet! Sorry, couldn't resist.
We did hamburgers and campfire baked potatoes.
