Tamire, that sounds like a nice summer-y meal! It's far from summer here. It is now at 9 degrees, but from some of the reports below, it's warmer here! BRRRR!!!!!!!!!
It's not really what I wanted, but I had tacos with ground turkey, onions, refried beans, lettuce, cheese, and salsa. It was good, but some Shepherd's Pie or Pot Pie sounds really good right now!
Stay warm Midwesterners/Northerners!!

Oh me.... last evening was some TREMENDOUS brined pork slab ribs that I slow roasted for 2+ hours only to discover that I did not have ANY of my favorite BBQ sauces to slather them w/when the time arose.... How very disappointing, but you carry on, made the best of it & used up what LITTLE was left in my bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's & mixed it w/some store brand I bought on a lark... Such a good thing I brined those babies. Great outcome, w/potato salad & some Bush's beans.... Dodged that bullet (as IF BBQ ribs are such a big deal in life!!!). Live & learn.

Yesterday morning I put a beef stew in the crock-pot, so it was ready when I got home from school. My teenage son made a salad to go with it, and I bought a loaf of Italian bread. It was cold here (for south Georgia), so everyone was happy with a big bowl of hot "comfort food."

Last night I just had some reheated leftovers. Tonight I finished off my Thai Curry with Basmati Rice.
Hotbiscuit, I really understand... it was still -20 this morning at 8 when I had to leave. I hate cold weather, but family is here. Not expected to be much better tomorrow.

My stepson and his wife had their baby yesterday so I brought pizza to the hospital so he "wouldn't starve to death on hospital food". Today is DH's b-day so am making him his favorite meal of meatloaf, corn, biscuits and apple sauce.
It was minus 27 this morning at 7:30

Last night, I was in Philadelphia, picking up a freind up at the airport. For Dinner it was a famous Cheesesteak with mushrooms and provolone at Pat Steaks and for an after dinner snack, it was a Italian Hoagie w/ everything at Tony Luke's. Marvelous.

I was fighting off something yesterday, so my dinner was ginger tea and dry toast, while my husband got leftovers. I'm making chicken soup for dinner with some little frozen quiche appetizers.
It is really, really cold.

We all had turkey leftovers in different ways, I had mine ontop of a salad, the kids wanted full dinner plates, and hubby wanted it on toast with gravy.

hotbiscuit, was it Mothers of Preschoolers? I so wanted to be a part of a Christian group like this when my older 2 were younger, but the closest meeting place was over an hour away, so I joined the and got ordered some books, but never attended a meeting. One year I bought all the women in my family a GREAT, very nice Mother's bible for $5 each. for Christmas. Sister in Law still uses hers and that was 8-10 years ago.
Last night was salsibury steak, garlic mashed potatoes, green peas, and peaches.
