To get back on topic.... Last evening was a re-heat/leftover meal... 1 LARGE porterhouse, spinach w/bacon, corn, baked potatoes. I had a bit of concern w/the re-heat process but it was so very tasty that the slight over "re-cook" of the steak was just fine.... Leftovers used up, ALL tasted great, success.

hotbiscuit.... this MOPS thing.... Did I miss your meaning??? My mom & her "bingo girls" used to go out after their bingo nights (how very regional is THAT?) for a MOPS pizza. Their "MOPS" was from a local pizza place, a choice listed on their menu!!! Large pizza w/ Mushrooms, Onions, Peppers, Sausage - MOPS... I was SO very thrilled any "bingo night" that I could tag along. Could not have cared less about the whole Bingo part, just looked forward to the MOPS feast afterwards....And, not for nothing but the glass of Coke & ice that would be endlessly refilled. MOPS, such a memory...

I did a turkey with stuffing, squash rolls, baked potatoes, and greenbeans I froze from the garden.
We're hitting a cold snap at the end of the week, I'm thinking a day of turkey bones to make soup is on the list.

Last night we tried to hold our MOPS christmas party that was cancelled back in Dec b/c of weather. It was really crappy last night too but a few of us ventured out to one of the ladies' homes and had dinner there. I brought a turkey, then there was scalloped corn, relish tray, buns and desserts. Tonight will be something made with left over turkey lol!

It's still early yet, so I could change my mind, but tonight I was thinking Steak Bites and hash browns. When I have a rare hankering (sorry, when I read Pioneer woman's site, I just get all country) for beef, I go to her site for ideas lol

yes, we grow our own beef, and there is nothing like. Very little grease when browning hamburger meat (if any at all). Steaks are honeslty melt in your mouth tender. Ihave a freezer full of hamburgermeat, steaks (every cut), cubed steak(not my favorite), and roasts.
We had taco (soft or salad) and refried beans with icecream for dessert.

Monday: Leftover ribs, gnocchi with homemade pesto, tossed salad
Sunday: Dinner out - turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes
Saturday: BBQ spice-rubbed baby back ribs, slow cooked in the oven for tenderness, then finished on the grill. Spinach pasta with evoo and garlic, green beans, french bread, strawberries and frosted brownies. This was a 1 week early B-day dinner (his favorite) for my son who had to return to college 8 hrs. away.

My hubby grilled steaks, had bake potatoes, salad, rolls. The weather is like summer one day cold the next. That is good Texas weather for you.
