Yum..that italian dinner sounded fantastic..might have to break out a cheesy baked pasta soon....
These are my hawaiian sweet rolls! Soft and sweet, great for dinner rolls or as little cheeseburger sliders we sometimes do: 1/4 cup milk 2 eggs 1 egg yolk 3 tablespoons butter 1 potato, mashed or 6 ounces prepared mashed potatoes 1/3 cup sugar 3/4 teaspoon salt 3 1/2 cups flour 2 teaspoons yeast Directions 1Preheat the oven to 350. 2Prepare the bread machine: Combine ingredients as recommended my your machine's manufacturer.Use the dough setting. 3After the cycle, turn out onto a floured surface. 4Stretch into a log and with a sharp knife cut into 12 pieces. 5Use a 9x13x2 greased baking pan. Let it rise for an hour to 90 minutes. 6Bake at 350 degrees x20 minutes. 7Cover with aluminum foil after 10 minutes to prevent burning.

We ate leftover stew. I don't know why it is, but stew always seems to taste better the second time you eat it.

Last night was veal canelloni with marinara sauce, and beef/veal/pork meatballs with more marinara sauce served with rotini noodles. Also, ciabatta bread & olive oil for dipping, and angel food cake with fresh strawberries and vanilla pudding. It was my husband's birthday, so I decided to make his very favorite dinner. Seemed like I was in the kitchen all day preparing the carb overload dinner!
I haven't been on the boards in a few weeks -- Happy New Year to everyone!

We always tend to have big sit down meals as we have quite a large extended family and someone is over almost every night. Tonight we are having grilled salmon, baked rice balls (one of my favorites!), green beans, ciabatta rolls and cherry cheesecake. Yummo!

We had baked chicken marinated in Italian dressing and topped with red and green peppers and onions, garlic mashed potatoes, cornon the cob, steamed broc, cauliflower, carrots, peppers, and onions with a splash of italian dressing, and cherry pie for dessert. We hubby's uncle over. Always makes him feel wanted and loved, and us too!

Yum! You can ask me to dinner anytime
We had grilled salmon, grilled squash and peppers and baked sweet potatoes.
Tonight is a quick meal before my husband has to go to a community meeting, so we're having left over Mexican chicken stew and corn tortillas.

Umm-Umm Good (if I do say so myself), last night was Beef Stew that I made ALL day Sunday so the potatoes & carrots and whatnot had plenty of time to marry up and mellow out. ALSO, I cannot let hjmans "heart attack potatoes" fade away without a comment.... OMG!!!! Ok, feel better now, thx.

We had some cornmeal crusted trout, brown rice with corn and cumin, and steamed veggies. Tonight it is mixed bean soup, if my slow cooker is doing what I expect it to do while I'm gone!!!
