Hubby is gone for the week on business so I jsut had steamed veggies and a tuna steak tonight.
A meal from the freezer isn't THAT bad...
And I so much have to say: cold blustery weather gets old really quick!

blessedmommy....your salsbury (sp?) steak dinner did NOT sound horrific at all.... I cannot tell you how many times I've pulled a dinner "out of the freezer". I will concede that it may not be the very best for you or the most tasty thing on the planet BUT... you do what you gotta do. Please, I will stand by my occasional frozen fish stick & fries dinner anytime. texan was a bit harsh.

UGGGHHH Blessed Mommy... that all sounds horrific. Yall with the cold blustery weathter, Im jealous! Its like in the early 70s here during the week... Doesnt make you feel all fall and festive... As for dinner... I made a shrimp salad served with either bibb lettuce or lavash... Had some cucumbers with some salt and fresh cracked pepper drizzled with some champagne vinegar. Light and easy. For a little sweet treat made some cinnamon gelato this morning served that with some snickerdoodles. I am really thinking of putting up my tree this weekend...Anyone else? What about Meal Planning for Turkey Day? Do we have our menus planned??

Last night was a boring supper. We had a frozen pizza. Tonight will be better, shrimp scampi & garlic toast.

last night I made a beef and barley soup, but instead of using stew meat I used venison meatballs seasoned with mint and cilantro, came out pretty good!

Last night was Grandma's chicken stew recipe with homemade dumpling noodles, green salad and hard rolls. It's always a favorite. Hubby really likes one-pot dishes like this when the blustery cold weather arrives.

Tacos, refried black beans and salad. It's totally dreary today, and I'm making chicken stew in the slow cooker.

Hubby went turkey hunting with the guys. It was a brisk autumn day, and a great day to make 5 Hour Beef Stew in the oven. The aroma filled the house all day.....great smell! I could eat stew anytime! Italian bread sticks and surprised him with a new MS cookie recipe Iced Oatmeal Applesauce Cookies.

We had meatloaf, garlic mashed potatoes, green peas, and baked pears.
Hubby surprised me and had the chili cooked when I came home. It was a nice surprise, and very GOOD!

I will just have to pay more attention to the menu..... Can't say I've ever seen it, but, might just be that I wasn't looking for it... Can't imagine it would not have caught my eye...

tamire1......yep, fries. In my case, right out of the deep fryer. SO, does NJ have something similar but without fries? It is really big here in Western PA!

We had chicken on cream of mushroom rice. It's always nice when it can be made in one pan.

Sounds very YUMMY to me, too! I'm going to have to add it to my menus, too. This even sounds like something both hubby and I can eat and like.
