The kids wanted breakfast for dinner, so they had pancakes, bacon, eggs and fruit salad. My husband and I just weren't into it, so we had chicken breasts simmered in wine and garlic, pasta salad and greenbeans sauteed with bacon, onions and garlic.

I was at a graduation party last night and the graduate was Hispanic, so there was A LOT of authentic and absolutely to-die-for Mexican food there that I sampled. I don't think I'll have to eat again for two more days.

Now that is MY kinda special date!
When I ask a lady what she would like for dinner, and she says lobster, well...
Glad you enjoyed your very special meal!

Kids were both out last night so I snagged hubby and kidnapped him for a date.
I went with a toasted grilled turkey club, he went for the mushroom/cheese burger. It was nice to sit and talk, and actually hear each other! =)

Pizza delivery...it's our usual Friday night fare...plus I'm sick as a dog so I am not cooking! (Hubby isn't much of a cook)
Not sure what we're doing tonight...my hubby will be gone so it's just me & my girls...we'll figure something out
Have a great weekend everyone!

I totally agree, moderation is the key.
Last night we had tacos. Had friends coming over and their children are very picky, so tacos went over well. For dessert I made an angel food cake and surrounded it with fresh strawberries served with whipped cream.

Last time I checked the Mediterranean area is part of Europe. Residents there are healthy with low incidences of heart disease. They eat cheese and milk. what about France? They are know for fine cheeses and people in that country are healthy and live long lives as well. I think it's all about moderation and the lifestyle you have.

My daughter and my better half have been salivating for liver and onions...which I don't make. She is having surgery next week and wanted to wait until all of her pre-ops were finished before she had this delicacy. He was having two teeth extracted, so we waited for that too. We went out for lunch. At supper time, he wanted to know what we were having. Duh, we had our big meal at lunch...remember? He had clam chowder and a grilled cheese sandwich. I had a Slim Fast and a dish of peaches.

Potato soup! Used a bit of bacon (and a little of the drippings) instead of ham, added fresh onion, carrots, celery, garlic and parsley from the garden. There aren't many food smells better than garlic, onion and bacon! Served with a green salad.
