Last night was Chicken Cordon Bleu, creamy chicken noodles & corn...tonight I've got my favorite pork chop recipe in the slow cooker

Smothered Pork Chops & Potatoes
8 red potatoes, quartered
1 onion, sliced
4-5 boneless pork chops (approx. 1" thick)
Salt, pepper and garlic powder
2 cups beef broth
1 cup water
2 pkg. onion gravy mix

Line bottom of slow cooker with potatoes, onions, then top with pork chops. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Stir together broth, water & gravy mix, pour over pork chops.

Cook on low 5 hours

Happy birthday!
I was planning on making fajitas tonight, but I was so hungry that I picked up some rotisserie chicken and a salad mix. It was great.

My oldest son (16) made dinner for us all last night...so it was orzo in these really small bowls with a mild parmesan sauce w/ some veggies on the side. Those bowls were not even bowls; they were like, models of them. I know he can cook a few dishes, my mother teaches him when we go to France but he's picked up more from my mother-in-law in Spain. Yesterday he was lazy. But when he cooks for his gf, it's all different lol.

Oh well, tonight is my birthday dinner!!!! :) :) And today I ran into a friend from college, and all of a sudden we were cheering on our class of 1997!

Tonight I have a college course, so I'll probably just grab something fast. Most likely a kid's meal, since those are the sizes adults SHOULD be eating.

Wow! Those sound AMAZING! There are quite a few ingredients though lol.

We had a summertime minestrone that I made from scratch (it was just okay), and leftover jerk chicken and brown rice.

made these last night... they were sooo good. made a couple of changes, though. used all evoo in lieu of butter, light mayo for the mixture and instead of capers and parsley, used fesh jalepeno and sage from my garden... DELICIOUS!!!
COUPLE OF THINGS THOUGH IF YOU WANT TO TRY THIS ONE OUT...

-seemed to be more veggies than meat, so, next time, may crank up the meat and downgrade the veggies a bit...

-kind of time consuming...

-VERY hard to keep in one piece while cooking... BE VERY CAREFUL...

-very basic recipe to sub out crab, shrimp, heck, chicken!! very flavorful!!!

-leftovers freeze easily. i didnt cook the left over mixture, but formed into patties, and defrosted one today and baked it instead of frying. JUST AS GOOD...:-D
