Last night I wanted quick, easy and delicious! I cooked a recipe I wrote for Spaghetti Casserole. I created it from an old recipe my mom had that was similar! It was so good and so easy! Recipe link is at bottom of post. Enjoy!
I also made my favorite mayo bread! I'm going to try to get that article in soon!
Oh, I'm Linda, I write for examiner.com as a comfort food writer. I'm doing a series on cookie baking right now... don't miss it. I've started it with a review on Wilton's Cookie Exchange book. Check it out! This book blew my mind! It is a must have for hosting cookie exchange parties, decorating cookies and is also great for anyone who decorates anything!
For your claim to fame, please leave in the comments section on one of my cookie series pages, on the Examiner or email to lindatalbott@yahoo.com, your original cookie recipes and your original photos of your cookies to have them included in the cookie series! You will get name and photo credit! ! Hurry, I may only be able to include 20 or 30.
I'd love to hear your favorite products, ingredients, cookbooks and holiday cookies! Or your fav comfort food! Just leave the comments on one of my pages on my main page on Examiner.

Last night I made a pot of chili before trick-or-treating and kept it hot, then baked garlic bread when we got home.
Tonight we had ham, mashed potatoes, and steamed corn with sauce. Pick N Save had a great deal where you buy half a ham and get a whole Jenno turkey, a dozen eggs, and sausgae links free.....couldn't pass that up

For last night, Halloween, I cut faces in orange bell peppers, stuffed them with chili-mac and baked them. It was really good, and quite festive.

We're finally (part of us) are coming out of the flu so I made a roast in the crockpot with veggies and potatoes. Finished just in time for the mass of kids to finish trick or treating and land back here. They'd had enough sugar today so they were happy to pounce on real food.

The root canal wasn't bad at all. Thanks for the well-wishes! After the dentist I made the Velvetta Italian Sausage Bake off of this website, and it was really good! The hubby said it was one of his all time favs.. Gotta give it a try, I added a little extra pizza sauce to down play the Velvetta (2%) a bit. Yumm-O. I also used Turkey sausage.
Tonight I had to work so it was just left-overs for him, and bad quick-stop food for me. Ah well..

Last night was pork chops with crispy shake n bake, with cream of celery soup and shredded marble jack cheese over the top; mashed potatoes; peas; and cresent rolls.
Tonight I will be working late so that means cheeseburger macaroni casserole in the crockpot.
Saturday I will also be working late so I am making a cheesy chicken and rice casserole that my husband can put in the oven when I'm about done with work, which means I will get to come home to a hot meal! Always nice when that happens.
Sunday will be hamburgers on the grill (I live in Minnesota which means I have to grill as much as I can before it snows and is too cold).

You're very welcome hjmans...let me know how it turns out!! p.s. Good luck with the dental procedure
Monday: sliced up a left over strip steak and made beef stroganoff over egg noodles with green beans & biscuits
Tuesday: busy day! picked up a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store and bag of the new Birdseye lightly sauced pasta & veggies
Wednesday: used up the rest of the chicken meat from the rotisserie chick the night before...I made a pasta dish similar to the shortcut chicken manicotti recipe from this site, served with garlic bread & salad

Poor thing. Good luck on your dental work.
I've never had to have a root canal (keeps fingers tightly crossed), but my husband has and he just had to watch what he ate for a few days, with some restrictions, but I don't remember it being a huge deal.
Last night we had grilled chicken thighs, fresh green beans and some smallish yukon gold pototoes my husband got at the farmers market. There is only a couple of weeks left for this year's market and I'm missing it already.

Krista ~ Thanks so much! I can't wait to try it! We're big seafood fans over here and always looking for new ways to prepare fish.
Tonight was left over spaghetti for me in a tupperware at work. I'm having a root canal tomorrow (any input is welcome), so we'll see if I feel like cooking, even though its one of my nights off.

Last night: pork chops marinaded in Italian dressing (baked) stuffing soft fried potatoes w/ onions green beans
Tonight: Chicken Alfredo w/ peas salad garlic bread
Tomorrow: Soup or Chili corn bread
We like to keep it fairly simple in my house I must say that the recipe for the pork tenderloin with thyme and dijon mustard is delicious!! The sauce for it is very interesting too.

I always love cookbooks from restaurant recipes....they are the best!
Last night we just had cheeseburgers and fries, then for "dessert" fruit salad made with fat-free lemon yogurt, low-fat mayo, and honey.
Tonight with be chicken casserole using the base of homeade low-fat mac n cheese recipe that Vanessa posted a while back.....that really is a great recipe.
My 2 girls will be gone for the next 2 days but plan on making a pot of chili and garlic bread Saturday night and keep it warm for an easy dinner after trick-or-treating
