>thanks guys... st b, you must be so excited about the new kitchen... especially with a baby on the way!!! congrats!!! how are you doing btw? when are you due?
>wish we could have a little 'online baby' shower for you...

Thanks Jen (and Deanne)! Yes, it's nice to have a new kitchen... but most of the excite has passed as we've been working on it for over a year now! I think I'm at the point of resignation. It's still not 100% complete (or even baby proof), but it's getting there. It's currently on hold, though, while we try to finish my son's room.
Unfortunately, my nausea hit at around 14 weeks- has hasn't let up yet. I think I'm going to be stuck w/it for the remainder. Luckily it comes and goes, though, so some days (hours) are better than others! Thanks so much for your interest- and I will certainly keep you updated!!
Last night wasn't a fritata after all. My husband decided he wanted to grill (we bought a new stainless steel grill this weekend, too). So we had grilled sweet potatoes and marinated london broil.
Tonight will be the fritata. (unless the family boycott's again!)

last night was left over black beans (no tortillas though !! we ate them all the previous night) and some leftover brisket that I put in the freezer about a month ago, and surprisingly enough it came out very tender and tasted like we had been barbecueing and smoking it all day!! I mixed that with peppers and onions and made fajitas out of it. It was all good and cleaned out the fridge! Tonight we are having chicken fried venison I think

Last night was chicken tacos, salad and refried beans (fat-free because I make them from scratch).
BTW, thanks for the info on Guatemalan tortillas. They sound terrific. Homemade tortillas are in a class by themselves.

Congratulations jen on your goal, and st. b on the new kitchen!
Tonight we cleaned up the soup and shepherds pie, big garden salad, and the last of the apple crisp.

BTW- Congrats Jen!! You're proof that you can eat good food and still reach your goals (and then some!). Keep up the good work!!

They are just a lot thicker and made in griddles over wood burning fire, so they taste awesome. I was in guatemala for a wedding last weekend so I brought back some frozen ones.

Sounds yummy. I'm very fond of black bean soup. We had leftover turkey chili topped with cheese, chopped tomatoes and avocado. Plus some corn tortillas.
What are Guatemalan tortillas? How are they different?

I wanna know where too hot to cook is cause I am so there right now. Really I am ready for just a bit of warmth.
As for dinner tonight since its the fourth and final day of our move <YAY> then we just went with simple fish sandwiches with pickles on the side.

last night was a gym night for me so i went with a grilled vegetable boca burger w/ lettuce, tomato, fat free cheese on toasted whole wheat bread with a bit of honey mustard & ketchup. on the side .. some leftover carrots & grapes.
tonight was a recipe from the site -- cheesy chicken bake .. was soo simple to make and really good. made a couple of changes with the soup & cheese and added some more veggies & added a salad on the side.. my sister and I liked it.

Our neighbor had surgery on his thumb nerves today, so I went for ultimate comfort food of shepherds pie and apple crisp. The kids brought him over some.
