Our neighbor had surgery on his thumb nerves today, so I went for ultimate comfort food of shepherds pie and apple crisp. The kids brought him over some.

Last night was pizza from a local shop, it was too hot to cook. The night before I roasted a small turkey (only 9 lbs.) just so we could have turkey and waffles this evening. Then with cub scouts, I didn't have time to make waffles! Will try again tomorrow.

Thanks, 1hotbiscuit!
I'm not sure what I'm having tonight -- my sister is having me over. Knowing her, it will be good, though lol

Happy belated b-day Deanne and happy birthday to you Sky . Keyedup, that stinks! I hate when a new recipe that looks soooo good turns out to be a stinker . And Stuffed Cabbage Casserole really sounded good!
Tonight was MOPS so did the taco-in-a-bag, sliced musk melon, chips & salsa and my cinnamon ice cream dessert.

I had a recipe for Stuffed Cabbage Casserole in the slow cooker that I had been wanting to try, so made it today. It was disgusting! My hubby and I didn't even eat it. I had a sandwich, and he had a frozen entree. Oh, well.

My plan was to cook a chicken in the slow cooker, but I got busy outside and forgot to start it. @@
I was cooking a pot of beans, so I made turkey chili instead. Chicken got moved to today.

We had 75 degree weather yesterday... and I wasn't feeling well (really bad migraine).
I had a lunchmeat sandwich for dinner then went to bed and slept for 12 hours.

That means spring. More Yay! It was 60 here today, melted a lot of snow and smelled like spring. I'm very ready.
Yesterday was a raw sort of rain so I made beef stew, then we went out to listen to a buddy of ours playing at a bar, so we ate the soup today.

We ate a late lunch on the patio because it was sooo beautiful, we had chicken salad, shrimp cocktail, seafood salad, deviled eggs, wheat crackers, rolls, mandarin oranges and lemonade...

Happy Birthday!
Thursday nights I go to town so DH gets leftovers. I also bit the bullet and did my weekly shopping so I don't have to go today. My DH took a vacation day and this afternoon we're going to start working on the garden. YAY!

Store had country style ribs on sale - made Chinese style ribs, au gratin potatoes and vegetable relish salad - very tasty, and economical!
