I do something similiar. I add keilbasa or smoked sausage, with cut up potatoes and onions into a bowl. Add seasonings of choice (garlic powder, salt, pepper, and seasoning salt) and olive oil. place into a tinfoil packet and place on the grill. Cook until everything is tender. Totally delish

I cut up kilbasa in 1 inch pieces, red potatos, babt carrots, celery, & onions. Place in a caserole dish with a little water, onion powder, & butter. Bake covered until potatos are soft, uncover for a bit to crisp up the sausage. Serve with sour cream & butter! Love it!

Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions!! I had to comment on your second favorite dish. I make Kielbasa this way too and my family LOVES it. I also add a can of crm of mushroom soup (undiluted) a can of mushrooms drained and use Velveeta fully loaded Au Gratin potatoes. It makes a really good sauce to mop the kielbasa in. Hope your family tries this too.

I make mine in one pot. Boil red potatos until almost done then add chopped cabbage and sauage. Salt and pepper and some fennel seeds. Go light on the fennel seeds unless you really like it.

This is very true. Welcome to the community, Barrettgood.
My brother makes his own sauerkraut and it's spoiled me for what I can buy. I love it, but it does have a lot of salt, even when it's rinsed, so it's one of those very periodic treats.

I grew up with one of these as our staple meals! Everytime I make it now as an adult in brings back my childhood, so good my mouth is watering : )

What everyone has suggested, sound DELICIOUS!!! I like making either Smoked Sausage or Polish Sausage dishes.
My favorite one pot dish is fried potatoes, onions, salt, pepper, garlic, small can of mushrooms, 1 pound of either Smoked or Polish sausage, cut in half and then sliced thin and finally, I add one can of drained Italian Green Beans. With this dish, you can easily substitute the green beans, with any veggies, take out the mushrooms, if, you simply can't stand them, so on and so forth.
My second favorite favorite way to serve Polish or Smoked Sausage is baked on top of either Scalloped or Au Gratin Potatoes. I bake it all in the oven, in either a 9"x13" or 10"x14" pan. Then I simply serve the vegetable of choice. Depending on my mood and time, I either make the scalloped or au gratin potatoes from scratch or use 2 boxes of scalloped or au gratin potatoes.
Hope, these suggestions help.

Kielbasa and sauerkraut baked in the oven. I make a roux, add liquid, slice a large onion, add sauerkraut then pieces of kielbasa to fit a sausage bun. Bake in oven covered for about an hour, then uncovered for about 1/2 an hour.Serve it with mashed potatoes or simply on a sausage bun. Always one of the favorites when the families get together. Yummy!

Mine is kinda the same as everyone else but all my husband and I do when we cook is cook the sausage and kielbosa first until almost fully cooked. Then we chop up some onions and green peppers. The flavor from the onions and the peppers will cook into the meat. Finish cooking the meat and vegetables until fully done and tender. Then we would take a few hot dog buns and put the filling in the inside. Make some fries or chips and there you have it. You are at the state fair or county fair, which everyone comes to your town.

This response is a lil late but....
Cut sausage into small pieces. (slice to whatever size you like) Chop some green pepper, onion, tomato. (as much of each, and whatever variety you'd like of each) Add maybe a tbs of oil to a skillet, add the sausage, cook till starting to brown a lil, then add veggies. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until veggies are as soft as you'd like.
I have made this with white rice, spanish rice, or flour tortillas. My kids love this quick, easy, and cheap, dinner!!
