I've never had them either, but I was hoping they'd be in the store. If not, I'll just use bread stick dough in the can.

As surprising as it may sound- they do manage to keep most of their dips under 500mg per serving, and there are even quite a few under 200mg!

Doesn't sound any worse sodium-wise than most of the recipes on this site.

>canned chicken, velveeta, and more salt. That has got to be real high in sodium.
Don't forget the chicken gravy, bacon bits and Montreal Seasoning! Yikes. Not for the salt sensitive. Even without the extra salt, it comes out to 1,142mg of sodium per serving! (Assuming the typical 12 servings per recipe. It also has 140 calories and 9g fat). If you add in the sodium from one hotdog bun, the total is around 1,300mg- 57% of your total daily allowable intake. If you are on a reduced sodium diet- it is practically a whole day's supply. I'd keep this dip away from the folks with hypertension.

Hey Y'all!
It's Talegate Time!!
This is a great "hearty" dish that your man will love for talegating. I make it in my crockpot.
4 cans chicken (I sort of mash it up in a bowl first) 1 large jar chicken gravy 1 jar bacon bits 1/2 pack Velveeta 1 teaspoon Montreeal seasoning salt and pepper
Put everything in the crockpot and stir well. Set crockpot to high for 2 hours, then low or warm to serve. Serve on hamburger or hotdog buns.
I usually get this going when I wake up in the morning so it's ready when my husband goes off on his talegate. He always brings home the crockpot licked clean!
Also, another thing I make is sort of a dip that you could make for a talegate, too. Also with the crockpot.
I whole pack of Velveeta 1 small pack cream cheese 1 jar of salsa (make it as hot as you want) 1 onion cut up 1 package cooked Jimmy Dean (I smash the sausages up in a bowl and then put int o the crock pot.) 1 bottle of beer (my secret) One pack taco seasoning mix
Directions are the same for the other recipe. Except that it's a dip for chips and not buns.
Enjoy!
