Welcome to the community, Crafty39. You probably could freeze it, but it may not taste as good as fresh. It is really not a large time commitment - only 10 minutes. The other 2 hours is simply chilling the cream cheese mixture... and it will take that long at least to thaw it for your party if you freeze it..

I would like to start making my Christmas luncheon appetizers and food items now. Just wondering if this crab spread can be made ahead and frozen til needed.
