I really looked forward to gettting this magazine in the mail. But like a lot of others, things are really tight for us right now. I thought it was really great that Kraft put out this magazine, cause it made me feel like they cared about their customers, it wasn't about the money. I have kept all the past issues that I have gotten. I have to admit I was very dissappointed when I saw the invoice inside the magazine, but I guess everyone is struggling right now, even Kraft.
I don't know if I will be able to pay the $6.99 subcription to continue receiving the magazine. I may just have to rely on the website to look up a recipie.

I enjoyed the magazine for free for years but I'm not going to pay 6.99 for 4 issues. I'm not one of those "global warming drones" but I've got a oak hutch full of recipes, cookbooks and cooking magazines, I'll just save my $6.99 and get the same great recipes online. I still LOVE YOU KRAFT, you're a great American company that Obama hasn't destroyed yet.

For those of you posting that you paid for the subscription, how long ago did you pay, and have you received the newest issue yet? And if the offer that you replied to promised a free cookbook, did you receive that yet? I subscribed in early September (after receiving the free version for several years), but I have not received the new issue or the cookbook yet.

I too, was somewhat upset when I saw that Kraft was now going to charge for their magazine, but I can understand why they are doing this. It's expensive for them to keep sending us something for nothing, and in this day and age, you can't get something for nothing any longer. My only complaint is that we were not notified sooner about this decision, just a bill in our last issue. I would have liked to see a letter explaining their decision to start charging for a subscription included with the bill, but I guess I'm smart enough to put 2 and 2 together as to why. As was stated here many times, I do not think that the price is outrageous, so I have already subscribed and will share my issues with my mother. I am old enough to remember when Kraft included their holiday recipes in the TV Guide and also in the grocery stores. My mom always looked forward to them coming out. Nowadays, our version of this is the Food & Family magazine. I have not tried every Kraft recipe, but just seeing Kraft on the label, to me means quality, in their products and their recipes, and it always has. I look forward to continue receiving their magazine. Keep up the good work!

You know...I have to disagree with a lot of you. Of Course it is a lot of advertising - it is from their own company. Do they want to encourage you to go buy someone else's product? I live in a meat and potatoes house, so they love a lot of stuff that comes out. I have been getting this for years, and so for me to pay $6.99 for a cookbook type of magazine that I will use, that is not going to bother me. I think I have made one or two things from every issue.
I do understand the complaints about the prepackaged processed foods, but some nights, I don't have time to do things from scratch. And the 'dinner in a bag' has great ideas.
i know the website offers it too, but at least with the magazine I can put it in front of my 7 year old and say, "ok, pick out at least 3 things you would like to try".

Go figure....Kraft like other companies continue to raise prices on their in store products when the family income is on a fast decline and now they want to charge for the free magazine we've gotten for years! Thank but no thanks!

i paid $12.98 for 2 years, i think its a great little "go to" magazine and thats the reason why so many of us enjoyed it for so many years, i'm sure people are buying more generic name brands then the krafts brand, i know i am, who knows maybe now that they will have some more money for this publication it might be thicker or have more coupons? i like having a little recipe book, i, like another poster said enjoy holding it and flipping through when i receive it in the mail and i hate always having to go turn on a computer just to get a recipe, these little books are nice to have on hand, i don't know why everybody is getting so upset, i mean sure it was nice that it was free for so long but if you don't think its that great why care so much that they are charging? and its going to be online like always so whats the loss?

I paid my $6.99 and I did it gladly! I have received more compliments from the quick and easy recipes that I have gotten from this magazine. I love the fact that there are colorful pics and even step-by-step instructions on some of the recipes. I have been receiving the mag free just like everyone else, but I definately think that it is worth the price. People will go out and spent $5 on a coffee or $10 at a hamburger joint and not bat an eye, but complain about having to pay a small amount for something that for years they got for free. Remember in this day, NOTHING IS FREE! Be happy you got what you got for as long as you got it, and move forward with peace and love in your heart (not so much anger and bitterness toward a magazine).

The way I look at is this...for one reason or another Kraft has decided to put their magazine online now - as a courtesy they will still print and mail it to anyone willing to pay for it. I am one of those who are willing. Part of me says "hey they are charging me to buy their ad" but I really am an old fashioned "paper person" and enjoy having the pages at my fingertips with in vivid shiny color I cannot tell you how much I have relied on this magazine and I browse it before going to the grocery store...I like being able to create new dinners from things that most of us already have around the house. So it used to be free and now it isn't. So what. If you are online to read this then you have the ability to browse the magazine online too. Just sayin.
