The Holiday '09 issue of food&family began arriving in homes on October 26th. We ask that you please wait 10-14 days to receive it. If at that time you have not received your Holiday '09 magazine, please send us an email by clicking here or call us at 1-800-521-4403, and we will be more than happy to assist you. If you have subscribed recently, it could take between 8-10 weeks for delivery. Welcome to the community, rnrahmlow.
I'm so glad you are enjoying your magazine. There are some very gorgeous-looking recipes in the magazines and if I had time, I'd make them all too!

I never received the free version of food & family, but I purchased a subscription and am very pleased. I had a Quick Cooking subscription in the past, and have gotten a few good recipes. However, I am a diabetic and really appreciate the nutrition facts for every recipe in food & family. I also want to make almost every recipe in every magazine, something I can't say about Quick Cooking. So while I understand why some people don't want to pay for something they used to get for free, I love getting new and easy recipes for a whole year for about ten bucks.

The whole magazine (including the recipes!) is basically one giant ad for Kraft products. Why should I pay them to send me a giant ad? It's not like the recipes are that great!

Some varieties of lettuce look almost like little weeds... until they start growing more leaves to fill in. Especially iceberg lettuce, with the little jagged-ish edges on the leaves.
Just give it time and hopefully it will start looking more like lettuce!

At least you were able to plant yours. When I pulled the paper off it fell apart in a million pieces and the seed went everywhere.

Thanks for your review, Deb and let me add my welcome to the Kraftfoods community. Our members make this community something special.
The lettuce seeds are embedded in a piece of white recycled paper as part of an ad for salad dressings. You plant the paper and the seeds sprout as water is added and the paper dissolves.

LOL. The wedding invitations for my Godson's wedding were made of recycled paper embedded with flower seeds. We planted it and plants have actually come up, or at least I think so.

Our regular annual subscription rate is $11.98.
When the transition first started there was a special, but I believe that's past its limit now.
Glad you got your copy!
