Good morning, karrielynlangan,
I see nothing in the ingredients that would "prevent" you from cooking the recipe in a slow cooker BUT, I feel you would lose a lot of the goodness and taste not using the skillet method called for. Also, breasts lose a lot of their quality after such lengthy cooking.
You need to brown the chicken slightly anyway and you cannot get that in your slow cooker.
If you want to give it a try, I'd substitue the breasts for an equal amount of legs and thighs as they do well in a slow cooker. Cook them 6 - 7 hours on low. The published recipe takes less than 30 mins and your slow cooker will give you less quality for this type recipe and take an extremely long time.
Bottom line! I do not recommend it.
Sorry!
Chef Bill

I really want to make this recipe, but was wondering how I can adapt it to make in the slow cooker. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
