She is 38. She happens to be dating our fill in mailman who used to be a hooligan in his younger days. They came to the party and both loved the cake and the yummy appetizers!

My kids would love this cause they put ketchup on everything......I call them ketchup impaired!
I don't know about adults, tho. I don't think that I would serve this at a cocktail party. My friends wouldn't eat it altho my husband would.
How old is your is your second sister? Is she a kid?

Those baloney cracker things are a load of fat and sodium!
You take in nearly half your recommended daily sodium intake in one serving! And they are supposed to be a snack!
No wonder you are seeing hypertension in kids today!

Thank you all for your great suggestions. I do keep them in airtight containers until I pass them out. I will only make them two days early this year and with your suggestions maybe that will help. Thank you all again and Merry Christmas & happy holidays to you all.

My mom always put a piece of bread on top of the cookies and seal them in a container.

Put them in the microwave with a mug of water in the middle. Micro on high for 45 seconds. They will be just like fresh baked and warm too.
Good luck.

Do you cover them?
Could you put them in a plastic bag with some bread?

I am from San Diego, CA and moved to Henderson, NV about 3 years ago. I do a lot of holiday baking during the Christmas season and have not been able to figure out how to overcome the issue of my cookies drying out so quick. They are like rocks within 1 day. I never had this problem for the 15 years I was baking in California. Does anyone have any suggestions?
