A thread that addressed this very thing, I believe, was here: http://kraft.liveworld.com/topic/General-Discussions/Kraft-Grated-American/1700001432.

The thread and my response with an Amazon link, is the same product KansasMom04 mentioned below and unfortunately you do have to buy them in bulk (12 count), but if you really like them, know others that like them, or have kids in college that like them, it's worth it.

I eat a lot of popcorn and the little jars of seasoning I use on them cost upwards of $4-5 for just one, so it's not a bad savings.

It's always a good idea to let your local grocer know of products you like that their store doesn't carry. Maybe even print the Amazon page and take it to them. A lot of stores will often order the products (if they are available from the manufacturer to order) in smaller quantities to see how well they sell.

I can name three times in the past couple of years I've went into my local Kroger and requested an item and it was soon stocked. It's all about talking to the purchasing manager, showing enthusiasm for the product, and being very affable instead of demanding.

I found it on amazon.com and a few other sites. Some smaller grocery stores are willing to order it for you. If you find a place to purchase it for under $30.00 for twelve, lease let me know.

I don't think the powdered cheese has been discontinued, just bought 4 packages of it yesterday to mail to my son at college for his popcorn. If you live in the midwest try the Meijer grocery chain. Or try checking with the customer service desk, at your grocery store They can usually tell you what products they carry with a quick check on the computer. Good Luck!

No. At least, they have never had the courtesy to reply to my questions. YMMV.

Thanks, but you're right. It doesn't apply. I used to be able to buy retail tubes of the Kraft powdered cheese in the grocery store, not a commercial bulk package. Does Kraft read these posts and reply ever?

I found the product!. Now I just have to find someone that sells it in less than 12 count packages.

Kraft Chees product discontinued?

We used to find Kraft Cheese (powdered) in a blue tube in our stores. It was very similar to the cheese you get in the packet in Kraft Dinner Mac and Cheese. The tube was similar to grated Paresan Cheese. We can't find this in the grocery stores anymore. Did Kraft discontinue it? TIA
