Even on vacation I get antsy standing in line. Too much to do, too much to see. I know, I'm strange. =D

We love Paula Deen also, her recipes are wonderful and easy. I also like Rachael Ray.

Paula rocks! Even my teenagers and husband like to watch her. Of course, my hubby always says "oh, make that, oh that looks good-can you make that". I would also love to visit her restaurant some day. Just send the hubby on some errands and have him check back-he won't get antsy and you won't have to put up with sighs and complaining ;)

Unless you live in Savannah, you'd probably be on vacation and not getting much of anything done except having fun. ;)

I think it would be worth the wait!

My favorite Paula recipe is her "Lady's Cheesy Mac" - my 9-year-old son LOVES it, and he doesn't like anything. I make it at least twice a month.

Her gooey butter cake is awesome, too.

Shhhh! No mentioning dentists around Jen. :-p

I don't think I could wait in line that long for a meal. Or much of anything. I'd get to antsy thinking of everything I should be getting done.

My husband hates to wait in lines, too. If there are errands that require waiting for anything, I have to do them. If I could go to the dentist or doctor for him, I'd have to do those, too.

We'll have to wait and see just how much Roy loves me...he'll not stand in line for anything. This will be a real test....LOL! Seriously, I love seafood and we have an excellent restaurant that will not take reservations. If we pull up and there is a waiting line....forget about it. He will not wait. STUBBORN!

RIDGE!,...i didnt pay for the meal, so i dont know. but the lady and sons are a 'down-home' place, so the prices are average for anything that you would pay anywhere else. plus, its just good comfort food. the pot pie i had was made with puff pastry, and the filling was so good and the portion was enormous!!!!!
...and, yes. there is quite a wait to get in there....even when they open. we waited for 2 1/2 hours, but so worth it!!!!!! might i add that the service is impeccable as well!!!!
if you ever get down there, visit it. you will love it!!!

Hey Jen...I've got to tell you something. I have to smile to myself when I read your post RIDGE. My husband was nicknamed Ridge and my eldest son. How about that!!
So tell me....what would a diner pay for PotPie? I've heard that said before that was wonderful.
I know there is a waiting line to get in but it has to be worth it!

The best part about her is her personality. I should probably buy her cookbook since I always end up missing what she's cooking because she's so much fun to watch.

Kudos to that wonderful southern charm of hers.

I don't know just how many recipes I have tried of Paula's. Like any other new recipe....some you like....some you don't, depending on your taste. You can always tweek them to suit your families tastes. But, overall....love her recipes and love, love Paula Deen.
I know I have a smile on my face from the time her cooking shows start until it ends. And her sons....love them, also. I told my husband if there is one thing I want to do before I die...it's going to her Mother & Sons restaurant in Savannah. Now that is retarded!!!! I will get there...I swear!
