Two tips:
1) Keep a food journal 2) Move more
That's all it takes. Keeping a food journal will help you realize what you're eating and how much and will keep you accountable. You can also take it to a dietitian for help in how to adjust if you're having trouble.
As for moving, just get outside and walk to start. Even if you can only make it to the next block, as long as you push yourself to go just a little further each day, soon you'll find you're walking a lot farther than you believed you could.

Hi red72175, i don't usually refer people to these groups . But, a lady at our church joined "Curves" a few months ago and because her Doctor referred her, her insurance paid for it. She is doing really well. You might consider that, if there's one close to you. I have also heard that a diabetic diet is a very good eating program?!? You could check with your local County Health dept. Lots of luck and God Bless, annaskf
