My fiance and I quit smoking back in May. My last cigarette was May 1 and my fiance was about 1o days later. I quit cold turkey and my fiance weaned himself using cigarellos. We have been having no bad reactions. Both of us are happy we have been able to do it. Our 4-yr-old son was starting to pick up cigarette butts and play with them. He would also recite my evening routine that included how often I would have a cigarette. It was awful. But now things are better and I no longer get winded going up my stairs. YAY!!!

Hey!
I proud to annonce that I quit smoking too. Along with my husband.
We did with the great book (thouse that belive or trying with willpower or patches should reach for it) of Allen Carr Easy way to quit smoking.
We were both smoking since we teenagers, now we in 30'

I'm so shocked that someone would admit to starting smoking while pregnant in the hopes of having a smaller baby without thinking of the health risk to the baby!! But just so you know, I have a family member that didn't smoke through her first pregnancy and had a normal sized baby. She smoked during her second one and that baby was the same size as the first, if not a little larger. I'm baffled!!

I hope & pray that those of you that have started smoking just to lose a few pounds will reconsider. I have smoked for a long time & I fight everyday just to maintain my weight & not lose anymore. If you think that sounds great, consider this...I just turned 54 & now have a very petite little body. I could wear that halter top if I wanted to but it loses something when you see the tubing on my face and the big oxygen tank always at my side. So please just try to visualize that while you are striving for that so-called perfect body! May God Bless you!

Babies are small period!! Why would anyone want to risk the health of their child by smoking or drinking? I bet if you smoked pot or crack you would have and even smaller one. But is it really worth it? How sick does one have to be to intentionally harm their unborn child? Think of all the health problems that child will face during life. How sick!!

Babies do come out very small sometimes if you smoke. Drinking alcohol can also make them small, I think.

I started smoking when I was pregnant so my baby wouldn't be fat (and me neither).
I ended up quitting a few years later.
