You're right. He did eat fishes and they are not even in the veals family.

With all due respect, you have to remember that the Bible is just hearsay......passed down for many years. We don't really know what Jesus ate.

But, veal is mentioned in the Bible. Jesus talked about "kill the fatted calf" in one of his stories. What do you think He meant? He was referring to the eating of veal.
If eating veal was okay for Jesus, then it is okay for me!

I haven't had time to check in on this board lately but I checked into today and I must say how proud I am of Pickles! She hasn't let "the man" get her down and she is keeping up her goo dfight to stop the senseless slaughter of baby cows.
Having eaten veal in my lifetime I have to add to the comments here that it's not all that good anyway. I'd much rather have chicken or pork in those recipes that call for veal.

Pickles is truly an inspiration to us all and I plan to join the fight to keep veals out of meals wholeheartedly!
Way to go, Pickles!

Hey y'all
Hey, not looking to set the world on fire here! Just making a simple observation because of peoples sensitivity toward animals...I loved this thread! And I agree with its concept too.

If you have time to whine and complain about something then you have the time to do something about it. -- Anthony J. D'Angelo
I thought this quote fit perfectly for Pickles. I don't think she is whining, but she sure is trying to do something about it! ("it" meaning saving the calves) GO PICKLES!!

I apologize for getting off subject. I too am totally against veal! Keep up the fight!! But I wanted to mention that the eggs they sell in grocery stores are not fertile eggs. A chicken will lay an egg without a rooster to fertilize it. Believe me, if it were fertile you would know. There would be a red dot in the yolk when you crack it open. If you bought farm fresh eggs from a local farmer you could possible get one. But the "farmers" that raise chickens for their eggs keep their hens in cages. They spend their lives eating & laying eggs. Hey, this could be another cause for someone to pick up. Save the chickens! They don't get to walk around either. They sit all day!

This thread is about veals..If you want to talk about eggs, please start another thread..Otherwise this one will get hijacked and all kinds of posts will be made that have nothing to do with saving the veals..Thank-you..
