Welcome to the community, 4TricycleMotors and 13Buffy and thanks for your suggestions. I have two young boys coming to stay for a few weeks and these sound like terrific suggestions. I'm all for putting them to work.

Hi....just thought I'd tell ya.....instead of cutting the pepperoni in half, you can now get "mini" pepperonis from Hormel. I have found them in the Wal-mart stores (that have the grocery store in them), so I'm not sure where all else you can find them. My kids love them! We use them on "personal pizzas". I learned this recipe from a childhood friend's grandma. You take english muffins, split them open and use each half to make a "personal pizza". We place them on a cookie sheet and put a little pizza sauce on them and then I let the kids top them with the usual favorites. The little mini pepperonis work PERFECT for these!! We add the mozzarella cheese and then bake. We bake them in a 400 degree oven until the cheese melts (about 10 minutes give or take and the kids love that THEY"VE made their own pizzas! (I jusually set the toppings up in small bowls "buffet-style". ) Good luck with your kids and Have a wonderful day!

To make this open all can & pour into large bowl, add hamburger, sausage & pepperoni mix together. Start with sauce & place enough in bottom of crock pot to cover bottom, Break noodles to fit in crock pot..one layer..cover with cheese & continue doing your layers till you crock pot is full...ending with the cheese..

One idea that keeps coming to my mind is meatballs of all kind. Any ground meat and any filler...whatever you and your family like. The process of mixing and deciding can seem so involved and rewarding. Let your daughter run with an idea for flavor (with a suggesting mom of course). Bake off the meatballs and help her come up with some type of appropriate sauce/gravy and sides like pasta, rice potatoes...whatever fits her choice. She will feel like such a big girl and be proud. Also, I have the easiest fudge recipe in the world that she might really like. 1 package of creme drops (usually out around the holidays) Microwave 1 min and stir slightly, add in one cup of peanut butter (any kind you like) stir and microwave 1 more min. Stir but leave kinda swirled. Pour into greased pan of any kind. Chill until firm and cut into squares. So easy and actually really good! Good luck to you and her!

My girls would love to do this ...you'll need a tube of biscuits, spaghetti sauce, 2% mozzarella cheese (shredded) and any topping you'd like on your mini pizzas. Just flatten out the biscuits, add sauce and your choice of toppings. Follow the cooking directions on the tube of biscuits and mini pizzas are done!!!!!

I love the Meals in Minutes section. Most of the recipes have five ingredients or less and some only take 20 minutes. You can find them here: http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/Dinner/MealsInMinutes/Take5.aspx

that's so sweet. She has been making dinner with me and ask if she can try to make dinner for us (the family) by herself. With some assistance, of course!

She should be okay with most cookie recipes. Maybe let her be in charge of that (alone) and to learn the more difficult things helping you get dinner ready? I know my 13 year old likes cooking with me so, when she moves out, she'll know how to cook it so it tastes like mom made it. (Her words!)
