It's good for younger up through older teens (even if they won't admit it.) I've used it in school settings from 1-8 and it's always a hit.

reading karen.bibby's posted reminded me of the old fondo pots, anyone remember them? I still have one from the 60's and a newer verison that looks like a out door fire pit with a pot hanging over it, . So here's the ideal, melt either chocolate or marshmellow in a container that you can keep warm and have cut up fruit, nuts, marchmellos and other dipable items for them to dip in it, yum! . annaskf

Welcome to the Community! That sounds like a fun "cooking" project to do with the kids -- and it does sound like something even younger kids can do with supervision.

My 9 year old like it when I buy chocolate candy melts, which can be melted in the microwave. Then we take small pretzel sticks and stick one in the end of marshmallows. You then let them dip the marshmallow in the melted chocolate and have several toppings for them to sprinkle and swirl the marshmallow in. Have was paper ready to set their creation on until it hardens. Good toppings are: crushed candy bars, mini m & m's., sprinkles or anything else small you can get from the baking aisle at your grocery store. This does not have to be expensive to be fun and memorable.

My daughters love to make a Chocolate Delight Dessert when their friends come over. There are a few ways to make it: #1 Little Debbie Swiss Rolls (freeze them and then slice into chocolate pinwheels...freezing makes it easier to cut them) Chocolate pudding- made or in containers cool whip
In a bowl: layer swiss roll pinwheels, chocolate pudding, then cool whip. repeat and top with chocolate chips or take a candt bar and potato peeler and add chocolate confetti
#2 Use brownies broken into pieces instead of swiss rolls
#3 add 1 little coffee to the pudding as you are making it
