If your children are taking their lunches to school try hot dogs. Put boiling water into a thermos with a hot dog in it. Pack a hot dog bun, ketchup and mustard packets (we all have some of those). The hot dog is a perfect temperature come lunch time. This was a favorite of mine when I was in school.

Fast and easy...take a soft tortilla shell and spread shredded cheddar cheese into the middle. Roll it up and microwave for about 30-45 seconds. You can add chicken for a chicken roll up, if you wish. My girls love these and it's something that they can even do on their own.
Also, if you are wanting to do pizzas, try using english muffins, spread with pizza or tomato sauce, top with any type of toppings you like, then stick in the microwave for about 25-30 seconds. YUMMY!

Are these school-age kids? That will affect what you can and cannot make, obviously. If they are school age, you have to worry about warm food staying warm. This is where the short, wide thermoses come in handy. Heat them up with some very hot water for a few minutes in the morning and then add warmed leftovers. This is a tip I have seen on other threads, so use the search button generously for more tips!
Also, if your budget allows it, just ask them to stick with the sandwiches, but on Fridays, let them take money to eat at the school cafeteria. It offers them a choice of something hot that they want and I know when I was in school, I loved buying food at the cafeteria- so much "cooler" than bringing a lunch. lol So a nice weekly treat to give something different to the "sandwiches every day" thing.

Make mini pizzas: Just buy frozen busicuit and strecth them out a little bit and pat down the middle and put a spoon full of pizza sauce and add cheese and what ever topping they want. Bake till golden brown and the cheese is melted. This is a lunch that they can help you make.

Bagels, flavored or plain, make a good replacement. Crackers with sandwich size pepperoni is another favorite of my daughter.

There are some great ideas from everyone. I have to say for myself I have always taken advantage of the office fridge and microwave. There is never a time that I couldn't tear up a BLT (my personal fav) and easy and convenient if you have a microwave in your office. I am also a huge fan of tuna salad. I make enough for a few days and just keep it in the office fridge. I'm also a big fan of taking the leftovers. Keeping a few baking potatoes around is a good idea too. Pop into the microwave on the day when you don't know what you want to eat. Don't forget things like lean cuisine can be very handy also. Really the possibilities are endless in this category.

I take my lunch almost everyday for work, and I love to pack soup. I mix it up with different kinds of soup, crackers, and fruit most days, especially this time of year.
You can buy canned soup like progresso which is pretty inexpensive, or make soup and freeze the leftovers for later.
Add ziplock baggies of goldfish crackers, frito chips, shredded cheese, or whatever else they might like to sprinkle on later. And always pack a healthy side, apples are in season right now and yummy with a little tub of PB to dip in!

We eat the leftovers from the night before. Cuts down on cost and prep time. If you want to make it more interesting...put it in the plastic divided containers and it will be like a tv dinner.

I do a lot of shopping at the bread store. I use a lot of different varieties of bread. My kids like the sunflower bread for their grilled cheese sandwiches. We use a couple of different types of cheeses also, kraft singles and sometimes will mix some farmers cheese in with that to. hope this will help some how.

If you are on a really tight budget, Ramen noodles are good. When I make this for my children, I drain off most of the water, then only add 1/2 packet of the seasoning since there is too much sodium in it. It is still pretty tasty this way.
TV dinners can be an occasional good thing for change of pace. I wouldn't serve them too often though, again, too much sodium plus fat. I used to buy the children's tv dinner of the "taco rolls" or something like that-they both loved them.
I don't know if you use the same type of bread every week, but using a different type can change up sandwiches, or using pita pockets.....we love pita pockets here but can be a little pricey.
