You could still do a pasta dish....lasagna or spaghetti with a salad and bread

Roast, potatoes, carrots in crockpot ....means you will not be standing over the stove and be able to visit with your friends

Baked chicken, oven roasted potatoes and a salad or green beans.

Soup(s)
Casserole

taco bar (soft shell, hard shell, meat, cheese, lettuce, etc) Fix their own taco.

Make your own sand tray. I love Jason's but they are expensive. Any of the ideas helping?

OK, so I'm having my friend, her husband and 1yr old son over for dinner tonight...I was just planning on picking up a prepared pasta dish OR sandwich tray from our local Jasons Deli but almost had a heart attack when I realized how much it would cost...being VERY budget concious nowadays I decided I'm going to just prepare something myself but I don't know what?!?!?!

any suggestions?? there will be 7 of us...THANKS IN ADVANCE!!
